RogerDodger 797 Posted October 12, 2023 1 hour ago, TheNewGirl said: We watched "No One will Save You" kind of meh. No real dialog in the entire movie. Aliens, etc. I had to google the ending because it felt like one of those, 'there's more meaning here' and there was. Not terrible, but just interesting. "The Call." A few years old, and we picked it on a whim. Found out that one of my FAVORITE horror queens is in it, Lin Shaye (Insidious) as well asTobin Bell (?) who plays Jigsaw. Not bad, some gore. Interesting premise to what's going on takes a bit to get going. Predictable in a couple of spots. 1 minute ago, MDC said: That’s too bad - looked interesting. Yeah, the whole point of the movie was to do it without dialog. Suspense through action, it did a decent job of that. I'd a preferred something other than aliens tho too. OldMaid 2,130 Posted October 12, 2023 7 hours ago, MDC said: @OldMaid so I absolutely loved Twin Peaks S1. I’m now into S2 and it’s seriously declined in quality once they resolved the whole Laura Palmer / Bob scenario. It hasn’t had a plot for the last 10 episodes. Should’ve been a 10-12 episode miniseries. Yeah, I remember there was a fight between Lynch and Frost with Bob Iger about revealing Laura’s killer. They absolutely didn’t want to do it until the end of the series, but the studio forced them to. So, the 2nd half of season 2 is a complete mess. This is what makes Fire Walk with Me so outstanding. As a prequel, it revisits Laura and her life leading up to her murder.
TheNewGirl 1,451 Posted October 12, 2023 Sounds like I need to go back and watch Twin Peaks.

DonS 3,292 Posted October 12, 2023 Watching "Excision" (2012) on Tubitv.com Awkward nerdy teenage girl gets off on blood. Darkly funny. Plenty o' t1ttays. Some interesting actors involved including Traci Lords, Malcolm McDowell, Marlee Matlin.

It does pick back up-I’m just not sure at which episode. I’ll admit, it’s been awhile since I rewatched it. If anything, you could possibly skip to the final episode of season 2 and probably be ok. IGotWorms 4,057 Posted October 13, 2023 I watched the movie Watcher, because I’ve got a thing for Maika Monroe. Seemed like she was heading for big things after It Follows but that never quite materialized. Anyway, it was good. Slow and almost boring at times, but worth it overall. Well directed. Had a bit of a #metoo element that I can’t decide if it was superfluous or necessary
