"The Call." A few years old, and we picked it on a whim. Found out that one of my FAVORITE horror queens is in it, Lin Shaye (Insidious) as well asTobin Bell (?) who plays Jigsaw. Not bad, some gore. Interesting premise to what's going on takes a bit to get going. Predictable in a couple of spots.

Yeah, the whole point of the movie was to do it without dialog.  Suspense through action, it did a decent job of that.  I'd a preferred something other than aliens tho too.

Yeah, I remember there was a fight between Lynch and Frost with Bob Iger about revealing Laura’s killer. They absolutely didn’t want to do it until the end of the series, but the studio forced them to. So, the 2nd half of season 2 is a complete mess. This is what makes Fire Walk with Me so outstanding. As a prequel, it revisits Laura and her life leading up to her murder.

I haven’t seen it but a guy named JT Petty did a horror movie called Soft for Digging that has zero dialogue - supposed to be pretty good.

I’ll have to see it. I’ve been feeling like S2 has no plot at all. Honestly I’m a little bored with it.

Awkward nerdy teenage girl gets off on blood.  Darkly funny.  Plenty o' t1ttays.

Some interesting actors involved including Traci Lords, Malcolm McDowell, Marlee Matlin.

Edit: I see the sadface bandit is at it again today.  

Stick with it (if you can) until the end. I know it’s a hard watch, but they do introduce some themes that are helpful if you want to keep going with the movie and then season 3.

I’ll definitely finish - I’m a completist. But it’s a hard slog knowing House of Usher debuts this week.

It does pick back up-I’m just not sure at which episode. I’ll admit, it’s been awhile since I rewatched it.  If anything, you could possibly skip to the final episode of season 2 and probably be ok.

I watched the movie Watcher, because I’ve got a thing for Maika Monroe. Seemed like she was heading for big things after It Follows but that never quite materialized.

Anyway, it was good. Slow and almost boring at times, but worth it overall. Well directed.

Had a bit of a #metoo element that I can’t decide if it was superfluous or necessary

Up to 28 movies already.    The ones I've liked the most this month were Haxan, The Burning, and Talk to Me.    I've seen too many movies, so mostly sequels and old B&Ws I've been getting to.

I have a feeling it's one I will have to go back and watch, because Mike Flanagan tends to do leave clues and easter eggs that you have NO idea about until you watch again.

Yes to the bolded.  

Nobody really needs to see Haxan unless you a movie geek or completionist.   It's a 1922 silent film, I was just surprised how good and creepy it actually was.  I was high AF as well, so grain of salt and all.

I started watching a Mexican movie named "Atroz" yesterday.  I had to turn it off after about 15 minutes as I was eating lunch and there was a brutal torture scene that also involved sh1t.
