Does Trump Pardon Roger Stone?

Recommended Posts

40 months. Too much. All yours Mr. President. Commute that sentence if he doesn’t get a new trial. Travesty.

Dude is painfully uninformed.  Love that he calls that stuff 'word play'...  I'm guessing he meant wordplay but, that's not at all what it is, it's completely different scenarios.  Incredibly stupid..

🤣😂  Charged?  So you're suggesting he committed a crime? By telling the truth?  You are the perfect Trump sheep.

I think he lied.  That would be an overt act needed for treason and sedition.  HTH.

Why didn't anyone charge him with perjury?

Good question.  Are you asking me to peer into the mind or minds of those that would be responsible for charging him?  In any event, the only people I see getting charged for perjury are Trump supporters.  Guys like Andy McCabe walk.

Newbie never once complained about Clinton or Hussein pardons. Never. Once. TDS is real.

No, just curious how anyone with a brain could think that the ones who were willing to testify were the liars, and the ones who were calling them liars were not willing to go under oath.  Hmmmm  It's a head scratcher

The most important thing is for Trump to get back at all the college edjumacated smartypants who made you feel inferior your whole life.

Oh right Newbie, anyone with a brain knows that the people that testify never lie; they always tell the truth.  This is a hangover from the stupid Kavanaugh hearings, where Christine Wacky Liberal Cat Lady lied about Kavanaugh.  I never heard anyone on the left invite the Ukrainian PM to voluntarily come in and offer testimony, did you?  Why is that?

Any predictions on the sentence he gets?  I mean, it's obviously irrelevant, as Trump will pardon him anyway, but I'm curious to see how the judge reacts to Barr putting his thumb on the scale. Will she cave and realize that Trump/Barr run the country untethered now and without law?  Or will she put her foot down and make a stance telling them that they may have scared the senators but they are not running the judicial branch?

My prediction is 3-5 years.  Far below the 7-9 years recommended by the DoJ, but still a significant chunk of time for an elderly man.

Yes, that's generally true.  People who are going to lie usually go under oath and truthful people refuse to go under oath.  Do you ever take a step back and read what you're about to post? 🤣

The jury forewoman lied to the judge that she had no knowledge of Stone. Should she go to jail?

You're not tall enough for this ride.  I can't tell you how many people I've personally witnessed lying under oath, but it's been a lot.

So you're saying the ones with truth on their side generally refuse to testify and the ones with lies to tell have no problem going under oath?   Is this really the stance you're taking?

Yes, criminal coverups. President declaring himself to be the chief law enforcement officer in the country. Punishing anyone who doesn't walk in lockstep. Senate making it known that they are complicit in anything the president does.  AG working as president's protector instead of for fair law enforcement...

I'm glad you think that's the right direction.  Because it's setting the new standard. Just remember that the next Democratic president will also get to play by the new rules you are all so willingly agreeing to. Politics are cyclical. It's not going to be a red president forever. And that will be a glorious time.  Watching you all cry as the new 'villain' steps into the position that your side created.

King of the word play.  As always, when you're getting owned, you turn to semantics.  Vindman lost his job (as did his brother) because he did what he was legally obligated to do. He was punished for not lying under oath.  It was Hitler sending a message to his minions that anyone who dares part from the cover ups and crimes that he performs on a daily basis will be punished severely.  But hey, he can still put on his uniform.

Everything you laid out happened  under Obama. What can you say about the delusion on display here?

Glad to see Judge Jackson deliver a stiff sentence. Also gave a huge middle finger to Barr and Trump.  Some of her lines:. "Stone isn't guilty because he stood up for the president, he's guilty because he covered up for the president"

"The truth still matters"

God bless her. If GOP senators (sans Romney) could muster just 10% of her patriotism and courage, we might actually take our democracy back.

No, I'm saying it's relatively common for people to be placed under oath and lie in an effort to pass off lies as the truth.
