That's not what I'm doing.  If he's just giving me crap, I don't have problem with that.  He seems to be making it a bit personal though and I'm not going to accept that.  You all can say whatever you want but I'll defend myself when I feel it's warranted.  It has nothing with growing a pair or crying.

I would have to learn more about why they decided to get that money.  I'm a small business that is using the money to pay my payroll for a couple months so I don't see how I'm being compared to these other larger places.

I suggest you give it back.  IF and WHEN you have a need and are ACTUALLY impacted negatively by the COVID crisis, apply for help at THAT time.

No, we're not stupid.  It's why we hire a financial adviser to help as well.  It's common practice for all businesses to do this.  It's also common for a business such as mine to apply for that loan.

No. My installation crews are all 1099, so they're eligible to file on their own.  They're paid for production, not hourly or salaried.  There are 7 crews total.  Each crew has 3-5 workers. 

The support staff is me and my wife (part time).  We take a monthly draw and the profits from the LLC on schedule C every year.   We could have done a PPP for the 2.5 X the monthly draw since we are shut down by the gov but we elected not to. 

I filed for COVID unemployment benefits instead.  $600/wk plus the min $160 from the state.  Taking the PPP to cover my own salary while also collecting unemployment would not be ethical.  I also filed for an EIDL advance/loan to pay the rent for my space during the shut down.  So far, no answer on that or unemployment.  

My wife is working her full time job from home as well.  

Meanwhile, there are dozens of businesses in my area that did not get PPP or EIDL money because it ran out.  I expect some of these business will get it now, but others might not ever come back.  Big picture, I need the entire local economy to come back full strength in order for my biz to thrive when things return to normal.  If that doesn't happen, we're all focked.
