I dont hate Trump as much as you think.  He is a jerk though.  Tax cuts and de reg has worked longer than I thought it would.  And therefore economy has been in good shape.  I think his Covid response has stunk, but dont fault him too bad for the economy side of that issue.  Unemployment in many areas was good.  Prison reform stuff.  also ok with contact with NK, sometimes its right to back off, sometimes good ro engage.  If Trump could make any attempt at uniting people, it would suit him well but he can't.

an example for Trump..early on in Covid, a reporter(cant remember where from) at a briefing asked Trump, "what can you say to all the families that are hurting", or something like that.  A perfect opportunity to say I am going to put together a great team to address this, I am on this, or whatever.  Instead, he said, I will tell them you are terrible at your job.  Why?

It is not Trump who is dividing people. It is the Democrats and the mainstream media they refuse to except his win And they would never let that happen
