My first game this year my opponent set a league record for scoring. My second game......thanks to the lions not being able to play defense....my opponent set another league record against me. Gimme a focking break.

Anyone else have this?

Yes I do. It seems everyone else's teams are scoring at record pace. I lost to the highest scoring team as well twice in two weeks. I thought the scores would even out as the season progressed, but apparently not. I know its a short sample size. I wonder if the actual game scores are setting some kind of record in the NFL. Where are the defenses?.

It seems like there are a lot of high scores so far this year.  Would be interesting to see how this year compares to past years as far as total NFL points scored through 2 weeks.

As a Red Zone watcher, scoring doesn't really appear to be up this year.

They show a montage of every TD from every game at the end of the broadcast, with the total number of rushing, passing and DST TDs.  It's usually in the range of 60-70 TDs, even during the bye weeks.  There were 60-something TDs in Week 1 and I think 74 yesterday, so that's not an abnormally large number.

I suppose fantasy scoring could still be up, if more yardage is being gained than normal, but the TD scoring doesn't seem to be inflated.

Yes. Week 1 I get beat by top scorer while I am #2 scorer.
Week #2 currently behind by 10 pts to top scorer. WHe has Saints kicker while I have Jacobs and Cooks tonight. 🙏🏻

I'm used to it based on my 1 dynasty league.  Over a 10 year stretch I have the highest points against by a good margin (and most points scored for that matter). It's uncanny.  This year started off the same way.  It used to annoy me, but after awhile I realized the playoffs is all that matters and we let 8 out of 14 teams in.  Unlucky a couple of weeks or not, if I can't make it to the playoffs with those odds, I don't deserve to be there.

3rd straight week I play the team that has scored the most points in the league.  Through 3 games I have had 658 points scored against me. The next nearest is almost 200 plus points behind me.

Then you get to listen to guys who have won but their teams suck say how much better their teams are than yours.

Play a little defense next week.

Facing Kamara right now. I generally only ever lose to sport defining, history making performances that trancend space and time like this one. I’m still up 10.

Edit: Whew, I win thanks to packers scoring and forcing Saints to kick.

Play two games a week. One against another league member, and another against the average league team score. Things equal out.

Fixed.

Kamara has single handedly put me in position to win this week. He's completely carrying my team.

After him the highest scorers in my line up are my D/ST and Kicker, the only other two to score double digits.

Kamara got me 48. I'm up 13 and my opponent has Kelce going tonight. So, certainly not a given, but I have a fighting chance to win now and before the Sunday night game, I was expecting to lose by 30 pts or so.

I traded for Kamara 2 days before the draft, dynasty league. Traded TY Hilton and Josh Jacobs for him and a pick. It's turned out exceptionally well

All said and done its the 2nd out of 3 weeks not only did my opponent score a weekly league high but an all time league high. In a league where the high score is 170 typically I have had an average of 231 points scored against me......and then the next week they hardly get to the mid 100s

Is that how you won over your boyfriend? By telling him all about your epic fearsome manly battles playing fantasy football?

Don't forget to tell him about that one time when you told your mom, right to her face, not to call down into the basement for you to come upstairs for dinner until the Jets/Giants game was completely over (just leave out the fact that you actually lost that argument).

So of course I was facing Kittle yesterday, his career best game. Now I am only up 20 with Watkins to go vs Aaron Jones, a likely loss despite scoring 160+. Same opponent who last year in playoffs had Brees (pedestrian all season) got for 50 vs me against the Niners league best defense of course.

Yes, this will be second week in a row my opponent has a RB going against Packer defense. Packers (my favorite team since '67) are pretty slow to catch on that you have to cover RBs coming out of the backfield-they catch a pass wide open and ramble down the field forever! The DB/LBs run deep with the WRs but leave the middle wide open-Gurley will be the one killing me tonight. Plus Brady has monster day yesterday-I really (used to be one) don't understand how DBs are leaving some of these WRs SO wide open. They're pathetic.
