I think the manufactured "health" of the economy by comparing COVID to now instead of actually evaluating now is not a winning tactic.  You simply cannot convince people who are out there living a worse life under Biden that they are doing better. The lying will get you pretty far, but not when people have been harmed to this extent. And we see it in polling. But I think the Democrats are very good at messaging, so I am sure some people will fall victim to this Bidenomics tactic.

In 2016, Trump won over 42 percent of women voters overall. That number is often dismissed because most of the activist MSM wants to point out that Hillary Clinton still had a "relative" 12 point edge. However there is no way the first potential female POTUS candidate, with the largest campaign financial warchest in all of recorded American political history, and had the entire MSM, Big Social Media, Hollywood and Big Education behind her, should have lost that much ground to a clear narcissist with his overall scandals with women.  

Trump, rather shockingly, got overall white women voters with 53 percent.  Within that, Trump got about 64 percent of non college educated white women voters. Nate Silver of 538 kept hammering that point, but more of a denouncement to the non college educated, instead of realizing MAGA encapsulated many of the frustrations of the working class. Silver is not a working class person and he had to attempt to justify why his projections were so far off. It wasn't just Clinton calling them "deplorables" but also the exit strategy went as far as to double down and blame it on "ignorant women" instead of Clinton's toxic public persona. 

Three states fundamentally decided the 2016 election. Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Michigan. The margin of victory with suburban women voters pushed Trump over the top. 

How this applies to 2024 is the level of daily persistence. Mark Burnett  correctly assessed in 2015 that given the lack of real campaign dollars, that Trump would need to generate as much unpaid media coverage as possible. Projections on paper say it was about 2 billion dollars worth. My rough estimates say it was about 3.5 billion dollars worth overall. It wasn't just Trump being said as bad by Team Blue, but that his message bled over as well in every single hit piece. 

Inflation works that way too. Voters have to go to the grocery store every week. The gas pump every 3-4 days. They pay their rent or mortgage every month. It's not just hitting you in the face, but it's enraging working class people on a regular schedule. When those parents drop their kids off at school everyday, they are reminded of the lockdowns and how their kids suffered in Big Blue Cities. And hard Blue states. They are reminded about all the sexual indoctrination in schools. 

The Democrats message only works with votes they have already  ( young college aged white women, black women voters, elderly hard line Democrat voters, the LGBT community, limousine liberals, etc, etc) They've taken staggering losses everywhere else. But most critically, with working class minorities. ( 28 percent of college educated Hispanic/Latino women actually voted for Trump. That's another number the DNC is going to ignore but they shouldn't, losing the Hispanic/Latino vote in enough scale will trigger massive down the ticket losses, 2024 is more than just the battle for POTUS) Also Pro Life Democrats have a strong chance to become single issue voters for the GOP. 

IMHO, the Democrats right now are horrible at policy, horrible at messaging and horrible about hiding their arrogance. They don't have the numbers to spit on the working class as they do and still win a "free and fair" general election. The only reason the activist MSM is going after Biden now is because they are trying to jettison him for Gavin Newsom. Except it might not work. It might just tip the scales to lose Biden even more voters in a general election.

There are definitely some shell games being played with goods and finances right now.  Shrinkflation is very real. Companies are making their products smaller and/or reducing quality. So while the unit price looks like it hasn't gone up much, the reality is that you're getting less for your dollar and actually purchasing more over time.  

It might look good on paper but its horrible for the consumer.

I think Joe never wanted to actually run for President.  He spent his time as VP making deals to get money, expecting he would just fade out and no one would ever take a second look at him. I think Obama was well aware of his corrupt dealings and that is part of the reason he seemed so tepid on Joe running.

I think Joe ran under the promise that the DOJ would look the other way, and never hold him or his family to account. The Dems felt he could beat Trump and they were willing to put this POS up there, regardless of his criminal activities.
