I'm really sick of the entertainment industry and their bullsh!t.  

My wife convinced me to try Ann with and E on Netflix.  It was supposed to be based on the 1908 children's novel, Anne of Green Gables.  She remembered the book and thought it would be fun, so I thought what the hell.  Classic literature, period piece, why not? 

I didn't really like the first season, but tolerated it.  The second season went way off the rails.  First they started preaching about women's rights, then a gay kid was introduced.  Then Anne has to cut her hair short, so she decides to live as a boy for awhile. Next up, the rich aunt throws a party for all her freak show tranny, gay, lesbo, artsy friends where she comes out as lesbo.  None of this is in the original novel. 

Is it any wonder why my 11 year old son has 6 gay kids in his class?  They shove this crap at us in virtually every single show. 

I thought All-American would be a good show for us to watch with the boys.  How could they screw up a show about HS football?   Right off the bat, we have a lesbo gang banger who's best friends with the star.  And I'm ok with realism, but I can only listen to so much ebonics in one hour.  I'm out.

Telling classic stories as they were written?

Making period pieces that are actually reflective of the period portrayed, warts and all?

Accurately presenting gay people as the minority they are?

Not sexualizing kids, regardless of orientation?

Not glorifying inner city gang mentality and language?

Staying away from pushing political causes via their programming.
