I never got into them. I do really like Smoke on the Water, but that’s about it.

I am always on the lookout for old songs that I may like, and they are well regarded in one of my favorite genres, so I gave the ones in this thread a listen just now as I was doing laundry, but somehow the just don’t click for me.

Nowadays Bronson Pinchot would never be allowed to play a funny talking / acting immigrant. Only authentic funny talking / acting immigrants can portray those characters.

I hear you.....MOST of the classic rock on the radio NEVER needs to be played again. I so wish that through the years the FM stations would have avoided the hits and played the other great songs, that way so many of us wouldn't feel this way.

I've had Deep Purple stuck in my head for the past week because of this thread.

I was in the shower this morning and yelled out to the smart speaker in our bathroom "Hey Google, play Knocking At Your Back Door by Deep Purple".  My wife was at the sink brushing her teeth and she immediately asked - with a tinge of judgemental-ness that only wive's can use - "Is this about anal sex?"

I gleefully replied that it was.  Once it started she said that she recognized the song but had never paid attention to the lyrics.  The more you know.
