Zelinsky's looked golden these last five weeks. The media is giving him the Churchill treatment and there are inspiring similarities of a country under attack standing up to an aggressor's invasion. Now, I wasn't paying terribly much attention before that but like most people I had a generally negative impression of all things regarding Ukrainian politics. Allegations of corruption were rampant bit whatever corruption was going on there previously is kind of lost down the memory hole.

A missile strike at a crowded train station in eastern Ukraine on Friday killed at least 50 people and wounded nearly 100, according to Ukrainian officials, who blamed Russia for hitting a major evacuation point for the many trying to flee before an expected stepped-up offensive.

Platforms at the station, in the city of Kramatorsk, had been jammed in recent days with people rushing to safer areas in Ukraine’s west, and officials said there were about 4,000 people at the railway station at the time of the strike. Photos provided by Ukrainian officials of the aftermath showed people splayed on the ground, surrounded by scattered luggage and debris. In a video from the scene, a woman screams, “There are so many corpses, there are children, there are just children!”

I support Russia.  I support Putin.  I think the west forced an issue that didn't need to be forced for the past thirty years.  I think the west intentionally antagonizes Russia and has wanted this or a similar war for decades for the sole purpose of bringing Russia to heel.  I hope that they fail in this endeavor.

True. That is why I feel for the poor citizens in that area, and would put all the politicians in front of a firing squad.  Our attempts to place leaders never work for the country in question. Look at Ukraine itself, what a disaster.

Our own President bragged about getting an investigator fired for probing a company his son worked for. Then when Trump tried to look into it, he was impeached by the very same people who backed that President.  It's no secret who the evil people are and where their centers of influence are.
