Mother of pearl. Some of the most grotesque scenes imaginable captured with iPhones, GoPros, and drones. It's all there...  Russians barely alive moments after both legs blown off. Cluster bombs killing 50+ men. Drones dropping grenades on soldiers and then show them writhing in pain or in death throws. Drones chasing down terrified soldiers with bombs. Russians committing suicide shortly after getting hit, captured up close - in high resolution. Etc. There are some cool tank battles and stuff, but still a lot of death.

Apparently the "live coverage of war would end wars" myth is officially busted.

The White House warned on Monday that the United States would run out of money to send weapons to Ukraine by the end of the year if Congress does not approve additional emergency support for the war that has been snarled by funding debates.

The warning, delivered in a blunt letter to the House speaker, Mike Johnson, was the latest Biden administration salvo against a growing number of Republicans who say they are weary of shouldering the costs and political capital of a war that could grind on for years.

So far, Congress has authorized $111 billion for Ukraine and critical U.S. national security needs, according to Shalanda D. Young, the White House’s budget director. In October, the administration asked for an additional $61.4 billion to continue helping the government in Kyiv stave off Russia.

But she said about 60 percent of the money approved so far — $67 billion — remained in the United States, largely to bolster American weapons manufacturers that have ramped up production over the last year to meet Ukraine’s insatiable demand.

Without more money to buy and supply additional weapons, Ms. Young said, the loss in American assistance “will kneecap Ukraine on the battlefield, not only putting at risk the gains Ukraine has made, but increasing the likelihood of Russian military victories.”

Luckily for Ukraine much of Europe won't give up so easily, since they now see Russia as a huge threat and they're already invested. Those European allies will also pressure the US to help.

Let's just see what happens after F-16's are flying next spring.  I don't know if it's a game changer or not, I've read conflicting articles. It can't hurt, along with another winter of poorly supplied Russian soldiers with low moral. Plus another 6 months of Russia holding their economy together with band-aids.

I'm Republican and want them to keep fighting. Don't care about Biden's face and not yet convinced it's unwinnable. The US should be a beacon of democracy and international law. Reagan would agree. Since him the US has traded long-term security for short-term peace, becoming increasingly isolationist. Bad strategy.

Huh? All we have been doing since RR is fighting and being involved in wars. I remember we went to Iraq to give them democracy too. We were liberators, remember? And we liberated Libya too. Biden was named the point man in Ukraine under Obama. He went there 6x as VP, one of those trips 4 days before he left office.  There is no one that has had more of a hand in Ukraine than Joe Biden. All I see is a mess and that his family got paid.  There’s a reason Obama said “don’t ever underestimate Joe’s ability to fuuck things up”.

I agree on this. I consider myself a centrist who slightly leans conservative, and the world likely will have bigger issues on its hands if Russia somehow wins this thing, which it doesn't seem possible.

Our country's isolationist stances in the 1900s and then in the 1930s led to our bloody involvement in two world wars. 

Russia's economy on paper might seem like it's doing OK, but I've read elsewhere that it's hanging by a thread, and one of its markets declared bankruptcy recently.

Although I’d have to imagine it’s not without consequences. Could be demoralizing to the Ukrainian army that we’re playing a game of chicken with their lives and country

I hope you’re right but I really fear these crazy Republican house members. I don’t think this is about the border at all- it may be for some of the Senators. But the MAGA types in the House want isolationism, and they want Ukraine to lose.
