Twitter adopts 'poison pill' to prevent Elon Musk takeover

Yeah.  It takes more time to edit a quote than to simply copy and paste it.  He's just making up excuses now to try to avoid the obvious reason he edited the quote - to change it's meaning to benefit him.

Can you copy and paste part of a tweet?

I wonder what would happen to them if everyone stopped responding to clowns like Hauck who post here like it's their only purpose in life.

Forgot to add in the prior post that at this point it also seems unlikely the dude climbed on the hood, which is what reminded me of the Smollett incident

This is your proof?  Roth swears in an affidavit that he heard about the Hunter laptop in a meeting from the FBI, and you say "no email, no proof$#@!  But here you make a loose connection that Strike nicely debunked.

Did Musk fock your dog or kick your wife or something?  For somebody who barely uses Twitter, you seem more butthurt by Musk than Taylor Lorenz.  Maybe take a break and assess things.  :(

Roth did not say he heard it from the FBI.  To quote Strike, “you are bastardizing the quote.”  (Sorry if that wasn’t your exact phrasing Strike)

”Loose connection,” lol.

I didn't say he did, I said he heard it in a meeting with the FBI.  Which of course, you interpret as somebody from Twitter talked about it in a meeting with the FBI, and the FBI... did what?  Just sat there?  Obviously they didn't refute it.

Anyway, it is a loose connection, but your MDS is too strong.  Anything he does you reach as far as necessary to make him look bad.  I was kidding about the wife or dog of course; it makes more sense that you are upset that people might question vaccines or other government policies, and that might mess with your cognitive dissonance.

This is why this forum is an echo chamber.  Righties outnumber everyone else at least 5:1, and half the time you guys just ignore people that disagree with you

Also, a question:  can one of our centrists explain why the FBI and other agencies met with Twitter, when apparently all communication needed to be done via email?  I've learned here that they couldn't possibly have discussed anything not captured by written evidence.  TIA.

So you mean you should have said “with” instead of “from” here?  Apology accepted. Btw he never said anything about the laptop, just Hunter.

Yes, you win.

So what do you think the FBI said in response to someone from Twitter saying it? (this is such a stupid assertion I feel dumber for typing it, but I guess I'll play).

Yes, I think they said something like “we can neither confirm nor deny.”

Heck it’s even possible they just said something like “we don’t know, anything’s possible.”

In twitter technical news, Elon claims he is getting rid of bots, but I’m not sure that’s true:  I first signed up for twitter over a year ago but eventually deleted it because I was spending too much time there (probably should do the same here and may as a New Year’s resolution, but I digress), but then re-signed up a few months back.   i really only read and never tweeted much, and the first go round I think I had like 20 followers including a couple bots.  This time around, I’ve only tweeted once so far (on a random crime post a few weeks ago), and in the past 2 days, I’ve been followed by like 60 Chinese bots.

Up to about 140 now

Maybe part of the reason Musk will probably step down as CEO, needs to focus on his companies that actually make products

Didn't Musk say he was going to run twitter for a few months and transition away when he first took over?  Why is this so controversial?

I don't remember him saying that, and it's not a big deal anyway.  What's funny is he put up a poll asking if he should step down.  He's a clown.

Twitter is a product.  It just wasn't a good one because it was run by censorship-loving liberal freaks.  He's trying to fix that.

The product is still Twitter.  Are we really having this conversation?

My initial reply was somewhat tongue in cheek, but I’d still call twitter more of a service than a product.

Musk continues to stay focused on Tesla.  Tesla has continued to make advances in their products and have not missed a beat.  We are currently in a recession and with the fed over aggressively hiking rates, next year looks particularly bad for car sales from every manufacturer.  Ford is down  about 50 percent, and with Tesla much being higher growth company with higher P/E their stock has been hit harder.  Tesla is still going to have some rough months ahead, but when the economy shows signs of recovery, Tesla is going to skyrocket.

Do you think the economy could be impacting Disney stock as well?

There is a (now old) saying on the internet:  if you aren't paying for something, then you are the product.

I heard a fascinating pod about how Google went down this ad-revenue path and that it basically drove the way the entire (almost) internet is monetized.  You can still scrape up some money with subscriptions, but it will never approach the volume of ad revenue, and as such VCs won't generally touch such alternate models.

I'll see if I can remember/find that pod.

Do people need loans to go to a movie?   I mean not counting popcorn.   A good movie people will go see.

Huh, 3.2% Q3 GDP growth would dispute yet another one of your moronic posts.

Musk has hurt Tesla bigly with his low IQ appeal to conservatives and massive overpayment for Twitter.  The company and stock will never recover.  Tesla owned the election vehicle market for 10 years.

Not anymore plus many folks see Musk for the fraudster he is.  Buh bye Tesla stock.

They might need loans to go to Disney World at the current prices.  I’m sure that’s what’s going to hurt them the most due to people pinching pennies.

Correct, that’s what I was getting at.  I saw an article that said supposedly for every $8 they get in twitter blue subscriptions, they’ll lose $6 in advertising

Elon Musk is dumb but you still haven't figured out how to make six figures in the country that it's easiest to make money in.

Newsflash cultist,  I'm educated, hard working, and most importantly, not a cultist.
