Twitter adopts 'poison pill' to prevent Elon Musk takeover

What do you mean “you said I’d have”?  Where you said that was when you quoted me having already said it (and it contains the answer to your question). You sure you’ve taken all your meds today?

I’ve repeatedly said you are welcome to your opinion, but don’t say things are “facts” or “admitted” when they’re not.  And yet you don’t seem to want to allow me to have an opinion…and you all say other people are the intolerant ones?

Exactly what I said.

Quote

Wrong.  Paragaph 11 discusses the meetings with the agencies.  Roth clearly states that he learned about the Hunter rumor from "these meetings."  There is no other interpretation of "these meetings."  Now, I suppose you can argue that the feds sat there while somebody from Twitter unsolicited speculated on it, and the feds just sat there and said nothing.  Does that seem reasonable, Tim?  I mean, they didn't send an email after the meeting, so it's probably nothing, amirite?

And you are the one saying I said "facts."  Did I say that?  Or is that the same as "let it slip?"

Since you basically were nonresponsive to my post, I'll repeat it:

This was the whackadoodle theory I just said you'd have.  To summarize:  In a meeting with the feds, some Twitter person or people, NOT the feds, said they heard rumors that the hack and leak operation might involve Hunter Biden.  Twitter heard the rumors, not the feds.  That's your position, right?  In this blue pill world, what did the feds say to Twitter in response to this rumor they just learned about?

The FBI was reimbursing Twitter for its use of its staffs time responding to the FBI’s requests.

You said I’d have it, after I already said it? That makes no sense.

who’s parsing words now? You said Zuckerberg admitted it, which would make it a fact, correct?

Man my twilight zone comment in a different thread is really true. You are quoting my post, and asking a question which was answered in the post that you quoted…

You literally said I said "facts" in what I quoted.  Did you bang your head against the wall one too many times this morning?  I quit; you wore me out with your inability to understand basic English.

Yeah I quit too. I should’ve quit when you claimed “let it slip” can refer to things other than spoken words…

Let me guess, you think this is the smoking gun?  Chan sent an email to Roth with attachments the day before the NY Post story broke, so it had to be about the laptop?  It’s possible, but still not quite proof.

Honestly Roth looks pretty good in these files, apparently often pushing back against the FBI.  Baker on the other hand not so much…

Agreed, Roth looks pretty good in this drop.  Not Baker as you said, nor Chan, nor the FBI in general, who repeatedly asked for data without warrants, and pushed for API changes (presumably so that they could more directly access data).

The Aspen Institute "tabletop exercise" on hack and leap using Hunter Biden was... quite a coincidence.  I know Tim, no proof.  But quite convenient that they had the top security person from Meta/FB there.  It would be interesting if somebody dug into more details behind that event.

The APT28 data which primed Roth to think about all of the campaign alarm bells was another convenient coincidence.

With this drop I'm softening my stance on Roth being complicit; he seems more of a dupe here.  The FBI on the other hand, well, let's just say that to everyone but you it's clear they manipulated things, and even you might admit they at least tried.

I don’t think I’ve really been that defensive of the FBI in here, except for saying I didn’t think they were forcing Twitter to do much - but even that was more on twitter’s end saying “nah.”  I previously said they were wasting taxpayer money by going after inconsequential twitter accounts.

I even said earlier I might believe they, to use your word, “duped” twitter - possible they (the people communicating with twitter) knew about the laptop, but didn’t tell twitter (or facebook) directly, just about a “pattern” that the FBI predicted twitter/Facebook would recognize the laptop as consistent with that pattern.

The FBI knew about the laptop; were there any doubt, that was proven early in that thread.  I suppose you could argue any one person (Chan) didn't know, but at this point for that to be true they would need to use that memory erase pen from Men In Black on him.  :dunno:

Yes that is what I’m saying is possible.  Not necessarily arguing one way or the other, but I do believe Chan testified that he didn’t know about it prior to the NY Post story.

Not Hardee's, but yes- I manage a restaurant.  Thanks for proving my point that you two are basically the same type of POS.   Looking down on people for what they do, knowing 0 about them or their situation.  That's one of the reasons I posted they would like you coming aboard.

I just read through it.  Same as what was already said. Why are they repeating themselves over and over? FBI told social media companies to beware, and each of these Twitter Files guys keep trying to spin it as something nefarious. Also, his opening statement in the first tweet that they “discredited factual information” is not shown by the evidence presented.

Perhaps the idea is to “raise questions” with these Twitter files. But as an exposé, they are a failure. No smoking gun, and the emails confirm prior statements by Twitter and FB leaders as well as Chan’s sworn testimony. If they are to Season 7 of this show and still have nothing but spin, I don’t expect future installments to be any better.

This whole Elon Musk buying Twitter thing is fascinating.   Let's recap.

Musk was once a darling of American Liberals mostly, but also Conservatives.  Space exploration, capitalist, electric vehicles.....just an incredibly smart dude both in science and business.  Then, and here is where the left refuses to look in the mirror.  Trump broke them, the riots happened, the media and FBI were complicit so middle of the road smart dudes like Musk, Rogan, hell even uber Liberal Bill Maher rails against the crazed wokeness the past few years.

Now he bought just one of the couple big name social media companies and ALL THE LIBERALS AND MEDIA have freaked the fock out.  Just look at the energy in this thread.  It's unbelievable that they cannot control the narrative so throw a complete hissy fit.

Another right-winger admits it’s about owning the libs… not about free speech or good business or anything else.

But hey, if Musk wants to flush $44 billion down the toilet to spread conspiracy theories about Hunter Biden? It’s all fun and games until he misses a loan payment to the same guys who killed Khasoggi.

You aren’t following this story very closely, are you?

Musk just cashed out $3.6 billion of Tesla stock to make interest payments on loans for his Twitter purchase. Tesla stock is crashing, so he can’t go to that well much more without crashing it harder and reducing his wealth even more.

https://markets.businessinsider.com/news/stocks/elon-musk-tesla-stock-sales-twitter-debt-inflation-recession-fed-2022-12

I’m not saying this ends with him sleeping in a van down by the river, but buying Twitter was a bad idea to begin with. Then managing it himself and alienating advertisers (the main source of income) made it exponentially worse. He’s losing billions.

Why is it homophobic to reference Horsesass love of gay porn?  Why are you folks so uptight?  I still call people phaggots if they're being phaggots.  Just like I have for decades.  Got nothing to do with not liking or being afraid of gays, it's an expression.  Like I'm Polish and think Pollock jokes are awesome.

Lighten up Francis.

And if you don't think it's hysterical that Mr. Life Winning/Hot Wife claiming stud's first reaction to prove there's porn on twitter is by linking to gay porn isn't ironic, you've got zero sense of humor.  I won't let him forget it it was so awesome.

I think you've seen people mock me for having had cancer, a colostomy bag, etc.  I don't cry and complain, I laugh if it's funny or mock if it's not or just don't respond.  Not everything in the world has to be so deadly serious FFS.

It's odd how worked up some of you folks get over this stuff...
