I'm sorry, did he upset you by allowing another dissenting vax voice on his platform. Maybe some "PhD biologist." :(

So apparently the FBI was sending a lot of their messages to Twitter through an app called "Teleport", which deletes the messages after 10 days.  Then the FBI would send an e-mail to people at Twitter telling them to go look at the message they were sent on Teleport.  Hmmmm...........

The more this stuff is exposed the crazier it gets...

LOL at anybody can do it.

Yeah guys, anyone can schedule weekly meetings with Twitter and have a direct email line to executives to discuss which posts and accounts need to be silenced.

For anybody interested in stories about the Musk takeover from employees of Twitter:

https://nymag.com/intelligencer/article/elon-musk-twitter-takeover.html?utm_medium=s1&utm_campaign=nym&utm_source=tw

Quote

Twitter might have had a reputation as a left-leaning workforce, but there had always been a faction that disapproved of its progressive ideals. On Slack, some of these workers had formed a channel called #i-dissent, where they asked questions like why deadnaming a trans colleague was considered “bad.” When Musk announced he was buying the company, one of the more active i-dissenters was thrilled. “Elon’s my new boss and I’m stoked!” he wrote on Linked-In. “I decided to send him a slack message. I figured you miss 100% of the shots you don’t make 😅 🚀 🌕.”

This employee was cut during the first round of layoffs. Soon, all the prominent members of the #i-dissent Slack channel would be gone. The channel itself was archived, while bigger social channels like #social-watercooler were abandoned.

This new Twitter is awesome. Freedom is so much better than censorship.

I don’t see anything wrong with this, shows people weren’t fired for their political beliefs.  I do still think they could have done a little more research into who should be laid off though considering how fast they happened after Musk took over.

What changes have you personally seen before and after that make it awesome for you now?

I never saw some of the people posting that I can now.  Pretty cool. I am not observing any tangible change. Still plenty of hate rising from the left while conservative voices make fun of them

All I've noticed is that there are people posting there that never did before or they were banned.  That's about it.

As a user I think the anyone can have a blue check thing is annoying.  Not saying in the past having one automatically meant you were “important,” but it was a good sign.  I don’t have an issue with him charging people if he wants, I just think there should also be some sort of notation for actual “notable” people.  That’s really the main advantage of twitter - celebrities and regular folk all interacting on the same platform.

I haven't, but I really only read tweets by people I follow, sports, betting, local, etc.

I do check out the "trending" every once in a while, and see that #DiedSuddenly has been trending almost every day the past few weeks.  So it looks like this is stuff that would have been suppressed previously, now it's allowed to go wild, which is sad and unfortunate.  With free speech comes misinformation.

Paying for a blue check with no verification is bad, and something that should be reversed.

There are lots of cases of people paying to be others and tweeting like them.  That's a disaster for the platform.

One particular instance, someone paid to get blue checked as Eli Lilly, then they tweeted that the Eli Lilly will offer insulin for free now, and the stock dropped 6%.  Eli Lilly got pissed and pulled all their advertising from Twitter.  This is also a litigation risk.

Lol. As if we aren’t treated to misinformation every night on television and have been long before anyone ever heard of Twitter. Or the internet. Or TV and radio.  Yeah, Twitter is the issue.

Was Ebright censored?  I used to see his stuff all the time and didn’t follow him

I just think it’s a bit ironic that the people expecting Musk to be their right-wing savior got fired by him. He doesn’t care about protecting conservatives or free speech or any of that crap. He just cares about himself.

Yeah, all the “censorship” nonsense is so overblown. Crap like that was on Twitter every day during the pandemic.

Not sure if you guys are really stupid or just like to revise history... Either way, it's a you problem.

The story was blatantly censored until they could no longer hide it as a possibility. This stuff is easily found.

You are either extremely disingenuous or have the memory of a gold fish.

How come almost all of the people being reinstated are on the right? And who do you have a problem with being reinstated ?

Do you have a list of people who have been reinstated along with their political affiliation?

I’m sure some tweets on the lab leak theory were censored.  I’m not aware that anything from Ebright was though.  So your gotcha of posting a tweet from him is stupid.

No. I’ve read that it is. But ok. Do you have a problem with anyone that has been reinstated?

No, I bet the majority of people reinstated are from the right. Not bullshit.  Prove me wrong.

Ok so you've gone from "almost all" to "a majority".  I don't know if you're right or wrong, neither do you.  I'm fairly certain that this data doesn't even exist tbh.

My point was it's not "sports news", but Twitter's alogrithms seem to think it is

I can't get past the Neurologist being at the Urgent Care. I have an Urgent Care down the block from me and I"m surprised they have a general doctor there. Hell, he may not even be a doctor. He probably just wore a white coat to the interview.

Life's a little rougher on Democrats when they get called out for blatantly lying. You love to see it.

FOCKING LOVE IT

Not allowing Biden and his cronies to simply lie, without restraint or shame, is a huge step forward!
