 How many…rounds?

Good question, and we for sure need to set the ground rules. You're a true hair rock man so what do you think?

How many rounds?  20ish is my thought

Also - is it a free for all or do we break it down by positions like fantasy football - x number of power ballads, x number of american bands vs overseas bands etc..

20 rounds - you must have atleast one song from each year 80-89 and 4 must be ballads.

Also - i'm willing to call GNR and even Telsa 80s hair, but godddamnit if you draft Metallica, you're kicked out. This is hair rock, not straight metal.

Eleven rounds. I love the break down idea. Three herd, medium, three ballads, and two floaters/ which can be anything. Eighties. A must..

What does that mean ?

11 rounds

and then we are trying to determine catergories - x amount of ballads etc

The one thing I think might be hard though is determining what is hard vs medium.

I'm thinking 15 rounds, must have 1 from each year and atleast 3 balldads and the rest wild cards.

I updated the 2nd post with how we will format it. I will add everyone else once the draft order is set and then I will mark the ballads in a different color.

When you draft, let me know which catergory you want it in and if you need to change it later.

I love me some Queensrycyke and consider them 80s hair,. Between me, you, ed and SUX if they decide to play, I think we can all be fair judges as to what counts.

A part of me wants to keep it simple. The hair snob in me wants to go balls to the wall. I’m getting ready to play 27 holes so as the sign up sheet grows we can see what others are thinking and I will check back in this evening

I will check later to see if they have a playlist online, but I'm thinking if they play it on SXM channel 39- Hair Nation, it counts

Don’t do it by year. Eighty only combined. You will have posters looking up bands. Know you’re hair bands you Kansas City phaggots.

I’m likely to sign up. I just see the bomb coming from a mile away… somebody will pick a band and someone else will say “that’s not a hair band.” Blah Blah.”. Where does the line get drawn between hair and metal or pop or punk?

Also, the genre lasted the entire 80s but it’s heyday started in the late 70s until around 92 with grunge BS and everyone got a haircut. Maybe those songs a couple years outside the 80s’d be OK too?
