No it's not, it would be hypocritical.  That is if I had stated that spelling is an indicator of intelligence, which I did not.  Most people don't that's why they make fun of the grammar police.

Irony is an event that seems deliberately contrary to what one expects and is often amusing as a result.  Example, Joe accidentally blew himself up inside his bomb shelter.

Misspelling isn't contrary to what you would expect when typing, in fact it's expected.  That's how you're graded on typing skills.  It's the opposite of unexpected.  

 

On the bold, this is an example of lack of comprehension.  I didn't say "typing" is a judge of intelligence.  I said "what you type".  The organization and content of your posts.  That has nothing to do with grammar.  I'm now using shorter concise sentences in an attempt to help.   Is it helping?

Yeah she gets it wrong too.   There typically isn't any expectation that you won't have bad weather, especially planning a date months in advance, other than you picked a date in the summer maybe.  That's not irony, that's just bad luck.

Typing, especially on a message board, has zero to do with intelligence. The statements do. But the way you type doesn’t. I can churn out a paper that will leave a lot of people here confused cause they don’t know what the hell the paper is saying or what some of the words mean. However, when I text/type on here I’m not going through all that. You’re gonna get shorthand and slang
