Quite a few similar teams; sucks that it might come down to who picked the kicker on the 7th seed.

Eh, Ekeler/CMC was a popular RB choice but even just looking at QBs, so far there are only 3 combos owned by more than team.   Hurts/Allen does have 4 though.

Mahomes/Purdy - 1

Burrow/Hurts - 1

Burrow/Mahomes - 1

Burrow/Allen - 2

Mahomes/Hurts - 1

Hurts/Allen - 4

Purdy/Burrow - 1

Allen/Prescott - 1

Mahomes/Allen - 3

Looking at the Hurts/Allen teams' WR's, 3 of them have Jefferson/Chase, but of those only you and @Voltaire also have Ekeler/McCaffrey at RB.   So you and Volty probably have the most similar teams and as far as I can tell are the only 2 teams that have the same QB + WR + RB (and you do "only" have 1 each of the same TE, K and DST).

Looking at the Mahomes/Allen teams, 2 of them have the same WR's, but different RB's.

The 2 Burrow/Allen teams have different WR's.

theres different ways of building a team.

1. pick the top fantasy scorers.
2. pick the most skilled players.
3. pick the players that had the best fantasy weeks.
4. pick the ones that scored the most.
5. prioritize players that are most likely to reach the super bowl.

i picked Mahomes and Purdy because they are #1 and #2 in posting the most passing TDs per game in the NFL (Mahomes threw 41 TDs and Purdy is right behind him at 38 TDs if you prorate his 13 TD passes over 6 games to full 17 game schedule) and are pretty big favorites to reach the Super Bowl.  Seemed like a no-brainer.  I'm surprised I am the only one looking at it that way.

Purdy is a great story but people seem to be ignoring the fact that he is an absolute stud and has locked down the QB job forever.

McCaffrey has been outscoring Purdy, so if you think SF is going to make the SB and can only choose 1 guy per team, CMC is a logical choice.  Not to mention I'm sure many people aren't particularly confident in Mr. Irrelevant in the playoffs.

I guess it is interesting that 6 people chose both QB's from the same conference (including myself)

Mahomes is the #1 QB and Purdy is the #2.  If I swap out Purdy for McCaffrey then I need a replacement QB.  The #2 QB is Hurts but he is coming off an injury.  The #3 QB is Josh Allen but he's kinda slumping a bit posting 147/1/0 versus the Jets and 172/2/2 versus the Bears. I think the only acceptable option is Mahomes / Burrow but its hard to see the Bengals going to back to back super bowls.

I pretty much split my skill position players between conferences most years; I don't know why really, just seems right?  IMO there are 4 viable QBs but only Hurts from the NFC, and I think the Eagles have the inside track for the SB.  I went with Allen because I think they are a push with KC for the SB, but Allen gets the extra game.  I'm talking myself into changing my tiebreaker to Allen instead of Hurts with this post, but Volty took Allen, so I'll stick with Hurts.

The book on Purdy is that he has super elite accuracy.  He goes beyond delivering the ball where it can be caught.  He CONSISTENTLY hits his targets in stride.  That means he can add 10-20 yards to every catch or more.   He's arguably the most accurate QB in the NFL.  The downside is that he doesn't have all the elite physical tools, He will never be able to just rely on raw talent to fling the ball from awkward angles or off his back foot.  Purdy needs to set up and use correct mechanics.  There are times when he starts feeling himself and forgets mechanics and it looks bad and that's where coaching needs to step in.  But Purdy is a lethal pocket passer.  he is absolutely their future.  They hit a gold mine.

Its extremely difficult for me to look at the 49ers with a very strong defense and a super accurate passer and envision anyone beating them.  That is a lethal combo.  And I'm not even talking CMC yet.

I know it is against the rules, but since the Chargers are the team of the decade, I will take all of them...

How in the world are you getting that Purdy is the #2 QB?    Looking at my standard league he played 5 games and only scored more than 20 points once.  Mahomes, Allen, Hurts and Burrow all scored over 20 pretty consistently.

I did some research by looking at the top scoring QBs RBs WRs and TEs in a standard scoring leagues this year and was able to take two from teams I think will advance a round. Then I cleaned up the rest ignoring one-and-done Miami and Seattle. I presume that's what you did.

When I entered the info, I saw it was close to yours. I took Allen over Hurts for tiebreaker because he has the potential to play four games.

I think the QB’s are the main ones you want to play the most games since they’ll likely score the most points.  I liked Allen & Burrow since they both have a decent chance to make the SB and neither had the bye.  I thought about Hurts but wanted AJ Brown at WR.

This is my favorite type of fantasy game, and I think how I first got into FF when I was like 12 and my dad let me enter his work pool.  Thanks @WhiteWonder for running it

Lineups and tie breakers have been posted above for accounting purposes. This is what you guys all had as of 4pm.

Note: Pats and Strike have no tie breaker selected

Also I am 90% sure Alias just edited a previous comment post to turn it into a lineup instead of adding a new post.... so I almost missed that. His sneaky attempt cost him a tight end

good luck everyone!

I have been out of town diving in NC all week so I did not join but would be happy to donate a tooth to the winner.

You don’t have to do that if you’re not in it.

You’ll probably be running a guess the super bowl winner contest anyway

No it is fine i'll still do it.   I will be running it  but I found a ton of teeth last week.  Plus even if I was in it I would just get to keep it if I won so it would be no big deal.

if no one else cares I’m fine with you adding a tight end who hasn’t played yet

Put his TE in there. This is all in good fun. If this was EdEx and he wanted a sub? AD,  he can play with 5.

I took the Etienne gamble because I felt Jacksonville would win and everyone was taking Ekeler. Seemed like a chance to get an extra game from one of my backs and be contrarian.

was looking absolutely terrible 2 Ekeler TDs and 27-0 later lol

now it possibly paid off
