43 years ago today, the US Olympic Hockey Team defeated the Russian team. Boys against men.   Greatest sports moment in our countries history. A big achievement  that helped get out us out of our decade long malaise.

I remember over at FBG when a lot of the people there got in a hissy fit and reported people when results were posted of Olympic events during the day when it was being held in the Far East...

I didn't find out until a couple of weeks after the game that I had been watching a tape delay. I thought I had been watching a live game. Ahh, the old days of newspapers and NOT 24 hour news and sports
