No, why would I, that would be stupid.  I knew the kids and the families.  They came over all of the time.  And had a 4th black kid from the school come over, I'd have been the same, because I would trust the environment they came from.  Had he brought home a black friend I didn't know where he was from, I also would have trusted him, because I believe I taught my children to judge people well.

I would say at this point that it goes without saying that I didn't teach my kids to distrust all black people, but you seem to be struggling here with nuance, so I figured I'd say it.

If however I drove into the gas station/convenience store by our public HS which has had multiple shootings involving black kids and I saw a group of black kids standing outside of it, I wouldn't get out of my car, and instead would drive on to another station.

Statistically, a white person is MUCH more likely to be victimized by another white person. Over 80% of white murder victims (for example) were killed by other white people. That’s not unique to white people either. Almost all murders are among one’s own racial group.

So, it doesn’t actually make sense for white people to be afraid of black people. It DEFINITELY doesn’t make sense for them to teach their kids to be afraid of black people. That is, if we really are talking about being prudent, or doing the math.

The first time I ever drove south, I was in the state of Maryland (yes for a guy from Buffalo, Maryland was :the “the south” to me) and saw my gas was a bit low. No, it's not your fault that Baltimore is a high crime area, and you should teach your kids to be safe in high crime areas.  I taught my kids to stay out of Trenton.  I would never teach them to stay away from blacks.
