And this company knows this. People underestimate myriad publicity moves that corporate America makes. Some of them work, while others don't.

But it was pretty clear at the game Saturday that people preferred getting a cheap 16-ounce Bud Light on draft and not have to wait in a long line for craft beer.

Bud Light will last but never get back to what it was.  Just much lower numbers.  In the beer business 1-3% are huge increases or decreases for the companies. A 5% decline hurts and will get people fired but can still be absorbed.  To lose 30% of sales is unheard of. And this is their high volume season for beer sales

Within the next year they will probably change packaging and start new ad campaigns.

Like I have said  I do feel sorry for the working people affected by this and that would be the only reason I lighten up. They may have but ultimately it hurt the bottom line which is why they finally capitulated (and why else would have finally given in unless it was costing them or would cost them money?). I believe these policies were preventing them from expanding into new locations in some states, and the location they had set up in the UK was a bust due to the boycott.
