The why is important. Sure, its easy to look down your nose at these people and declare them knuck-dragging heathens or something. I do not see that as a solution. :dunno:

I think the "why" has been the anti-trans movement that has taken over politics, social media, this board, and this was just the last straw that set people off

Then why not go after them prior, this wasn't the only instance for them or their competitors.

Just declaring the reason to be some anti-trans movement really glosses over it.  But lets assume you are correct.

If people are tired of playing pretend with the mentally ill, then they have every right to make that discontentment known....just as much as the trans people already have.

I don't see the anti trans movement taking over any of those things.

I think you just like exaggerating when it comes to things like this, when people don't like what you liberals push on them. You push your garbage, then when people to tell you fock off, you say they are making a big deal about it and making that the whole story.

If anything, the trans movement itself has been more front and center trying to be noticed more than anything. It's disturbing. Keep your problems to yourself and if you need to seek out help, there are people out there to help. Stop begging for attention. Or at least deal with what you are asking for.

It’s true. Angry guys like Gutterboy use the term “toxic masculinity”.  WTF?

Finally someone is wondering why.  What might make this instance distinctive from the others is the exposure I guess, maybe the others were not well propogated into awareness, but i think the actions of that VP in calling the brand "fratty" in that condescending manner likely fed this as well.

Seems like the quotes from the VP saying that became widely seen weeks after the boycotts started. It was a dumb thing to say but that’s not the main reason people are boucotting.

Agree, that is what I did not declare it the main reason.  If there is a "main reason" it would seem that people were more aware in this instance.  Given that this is not the first or only instance of this kind of marketing, and is not isolated to this industry.  Part of it may be the importance to corporations to score well on the Corporate Equality Index as well.

I might suggest that this pandering is to a rather small set of people.  And the larger bade of those consuming their products do not buy into fantasy-based story lines.  Though they should be more religious, but I surmise they see a magical man in the sky to be just as real as those who think they can change biology.

This is a great example of this stuff being forced.  AB basically threw the dude to the curb as soon as there was backlash.  "Was never a formal campaign". You will start seeing ads with real men doing manly things.  It will br clearly overboard.

AB doesn't care about the tranny movement.  But forced into dabbling because in this country your credit score goes up the more you involve trannys.  In other words....forced.

It is all about money and power.  Like the total scam that was BLM.  These movements are not genuine and they are forced and shamed upon society.

I mean you may just be goofing when you use the "toxic masculinity" phrase.  But if serious that is fem.

The only people I hear use the word toxic in that way are women.  "You know girl you need to get out of that toxic relationship" "their energy is toxic I cant be around them".  Toxic masculinity is a phrase of the green hairs.  The feminists.  The men haters.

Brands like Bud Light want to appeal to every demographic. They didn’t realize that one demographic would go apeshiit. Their bad.

No not goofing, and since you describe it as fem then you suffer from it as well.  Taking on toxic masculinity allows men to live more positive lives as opposed to the negative stereotypes that society imparts on them.

Agree completely.  It is entirely on them that they were not better aware of their consumer.  This mistake falls on the shoulders of leadership.  And the longer they avoid apolotgizing the longer it will take to recover. Hell, it might get worse.  This is where the tactic of cancellation and financial threat is less appealing, when it is turned back on one.

My masculinity is not toxic, rather it is nuturing, protective, chivalrous and tempered by reason and the fact that my father and grandfathers emphasized being a gentleman at all times, until it was time to be the raging storm within.

Isn't the strategy to make as much money as possible? And maintain your base of it?

Left boycotts something.  Crickets.  This happens and people like you get all twitchy.  It is funny to watch it play out im real time.  Always rules for thee with you people.  I know I know, anyone that boycotts is a toddler! But you just won't make a big deal or any deal out of it....sometimes.

I’m not judging the boycott - buy what you want. Just don’t be a disingenuous drama queen about it what with the queer ass videos. Nobody cares what shiit beer you drink Luther.

I've already explained this to you but you're so focking stupid you didn't get it, which is why you keep repeating the same dumb BS over and over.

This is your last shot.

The way algorithms work on Social Media is it tracks who you follow, what you like, content you view, what you search for, etc.  It tracks all your moves.  And then it suggests other content that is similar that you may be interested in.  Example, someone who is interested in guns, Trump, conspiracy theories will have similar content delivered to them, outside of who they follow.  They will not get content on fashion, lgbtq or anime, because those interests don't intersect.

So now let me wrap it all up for you, what happens on social media is some people "hate follow", and I mentioned libsoftiktok as the most prolific hate follower.  They follow and like content that outrages them, and that's how their followers learn about content they otherwise would never know about.  And that is exactly what happened here with Bud Light and this tranny.

I still doubt you are able to understand this, but it's my final try.  I look forward to a dumb comment followed by multiple laughing emojis as any NPC would post.

Sorry, but @Horsemanis right, you are being metal helmet-level dumb about this.  Do you understand how social media works?  Do you have a LinkedIn account?  The power of LinkedIn is in second level connections -- it's not who you know, but who the people you know know.  This expands your network geometrically.

All it takes is one of my contacts on SM, say a family member who is Lefty and follows Mulvaney, to retweet it and I now see it.

Please tell me you understand this.

No they don't, that would be catastrophic marketing for a company like Bud Light which is selling an image or lifestyle vs. yet another crappy American lager.  There is a saying in marketing:  if you try to market to everyone, you market to noone.  And we saw what happened here.

Meh. Bud Light is McDonalds. If they thought they could get a few more dwarfs or albinos to drink it they would. They want to expand their market share any way possible like all huge brands.

They didn’t think sending a tranny pack to a tranny would make people deranged.
