They want to try to walk down the middle, and I do not see that is going to work. Maybe they can wait this out.

Alternatively they could stop trying to leverage woke stupidity, apologize to the people who buy the majority of their product and restore most of the brand back.  OR they can decide that pandering to the mentally ill trannies is a better move, and further alienate the people who used to buy their product.

I disagree.  In this situation nothing short of an apology on their knees is likely to win back their core dynamic. And similarly, their move to not demonstrate full and unfettered devotion to the mentally ill trannies now has them feeling the same way.  They screwed themselves both ways.

They can handle this.  They are big.  This is a hit they can absorb for some time.  Ultimately they likely hope to be silent, and allow some other news items to make people forget. 

The problem for them on this is that on one side you have offended your core patrons, and they will expect an apology.  But on the other side you have not been loud and obnoxious with your support, and they do not tolerate anything less than total devotion.  They really are in a tough spot now.
