It celebrates the start of the Revolution, when average Americans violently fought back against a corrupt and oppressive Government. And in 2023 it commemorates the 10th anniversary of the Boston Marathon Terrorist bombing. I just watched a great documentary on it - "American Manhunt" on Netflix. What struck me while watching it was how unified the country was back then. After capturing Dzhokhar Tsarnaev in Watertown, the police drove through entire streets lined with people cheering for them, chanting "USA! USA!" If this happened today, Liberals would be crying and moaning about police racism and excessive force. At the very lest Liberals like @The Real timschochet would be in here complaining about anti-Muslim bias. Enjoy the day my Conservative friends. Liberals have taken this country to a very dark place, but fortunately freedom is a very stubborn thing. Pretty focking sad to make light of the Marathon Bombings, especially on the 10th Anniversary. I spent the entire weekend in Boston, and walked the entire Freedom Trail with my son. I stood at Breed's Hill - which is mistakenly referred to as Bunker Hill - and read about the the incredible bravery and honor of the Americans who knew they had no shot at winning the battle, but fought to the death regardless. Freedom meant more to them than life. Lots of other places visited, but not sure you'd give a fock so I'm not going to waste my breath. The most solemn moment was standing at the exact spot where both bombs went off, where an innocent 12 year old kid was blown to pieces by a hateful ideology. My son asked me if it was safe to watch the Marathon from that spot on Monday. I told him the truth - "It's not the safest place to be, but it's important that people be there. You guys would probably consider it woke because it’s like a weird mix of interviewing the police about what happened but then also interviewing a reporter talking about how the police focked up, by doing things such as shooting hundreds of rounds into houses, or letting one of the bombers getting away despite having him surrounded by hundreds of cops 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Since then we've killed lots of muslims, but we haven't had muslims attack us either, and I think we've moved past the muslim hate. Me personally I don't hate all muslims anymore, I can look back and see that was wrong. The middle east doesn't get much press anymore. He was like "I felt like we were just getting past the anti-Muslim sentiment from 9/11, so I was afraid this would bring it back." Although these brothers were from the former USSR so not sure if that may have played a role in that it didn't seem to do that.
