Myth? Women get paid to have kids out of wedlock, per kid. Somebody who doesn't work gets a tax credit. Unfuckingbelievable. Plus WIC and Section 8 and whatever other handouts they can get their hands on.

When I received welfare in the early 90’s, I got $345/month in cash benefits and $145/month in food stamps. I had 1 child. The father of my child paid child support but it went to the government instead of to me because his payments were far less and sometimes infrequent. Later, he paid the government what he owed in a lump sum. Was your rent payment ever $345 in the 90’s? Neither was mine. I couldn’t even afford a bus card. I used my benefits for the bare necessities like diapers, toothpaste, detergent, soap and daycare fees. My daughter’s day care cost $200/month. I was so grateful to have that money. I was able to eventually get a decent job.  Welfare is given to you for only 2 years and they don’t increase it if you have another child while on it. Not sure what you all are complaining about. If you don’t like it, why not help bills pass that force men to pay for the children they create. California does a great job of making the fathers pay.

It’s near impossible to get section 8. I never got it and there wasn’t a time where I could even apply for it. The application was always closed in Essex County, NJ. Have you ever used WIC? I got WIC checks. I still have a few. Back then you could get milk, beans, frozen orange juice, formula and peanut butter. That is only enough food to prevent you from starvation. No one is getting fat or rich from them.

My story is a sad one. I spent my life working and earning a paycheck so the state and federal government could take half of what I earned and give it away to leeches who didn't earn any of it. In the 90's they deemed me unworthy of several positions that went to less qualified minority applicants simply because I was white and they weren't. Now the state wants to use my tax dollars to pay unemployment benefits to illegal immigrants who don't deserve a dime. And the saga continues...

The 90's was the heyday of Affirmative Action, wherein state sanctioned discrimination against whites was rampant. Those of us who didn't have mommy and daddy to rely on for our livelihoods had to apply for positions with employers who were required to hire a certain amount of minorities, whether or not they were the most competent applicant. As a result, more qualified and more deserving applicants, like myself, were denied employment based solely on our race.

You're lucky.  At 16, I was told to drop out of high school and get a full time job.  The libtard in the family services office wouldn't file my paperwork for welfare after my son's mother died.

I work and pay taxes and I am happy to help people in need. I am not bitter about the unqualified people that have been promoted above me or my daughter, we just continued on or pursued other opportunities. When you’re talented and a good worker someone will hire you.

In ohio 30yrs teaching nets you 44% retirement and obamacare.  You cant afford to live..on cat food and ramen mebbe but to hell with 1000 a month insurance.  Have to wait a few years to medicare at 65.   35 yrs teaching gets u 77%

Once you really live life you realize there are tons of reasons people do or do not get jobs. Mostly, I’ve witnessed younger fresh out of college kids get hired over experienced older much more qualified people because they’re cheaper, they bring a youthful energy and they’re sexually desirable (to the higher ups and clients). And yes, I’ve seen whites get hired over qualified minorities and I’ve witnessed minorities getting hired because they check off a box. I’ve seen immigrants getting hired because they can be worked harder. Life isn’t fair sometimes.

I think a lot of us worry about what others have and don't appreciate what we have.  I'm not going to get upset over a poor person not paying taxes on their food stamps, or someone in prison that gets four square meals, because I know I have a lot to be thankful for and would not trade places with either of them.

My mom was going on and on and on about her friend and her lazy son and about how much government benefits her friend has received over the years.

(Just want to say that the old Chris Rock joke is true, no one hates unproductive blacks more than black people. You all complain, but we criticize each other even more, but we do it privately.) 

Anyway, she was telling me how much money her friend received and how much section 8 she had….and yet and still she is always still in need all the time. I told my mom that relying on government assistance without a plan or drive to get off of it is a trap. You keep yourself poor in order to qualify for more government pennies. Getting a few hundred dollars a month is no savior. Don’t envy that….

You guys are looking to the most needy segment of our country and are angry at them for the tax dollars they get instead of those that are undeserving getting your hard earned taxes. Don’t be lemmings.
