I am a left leaning, moderately 'woke', white straight middle age dude from the midwest.

I think Elon might be overreaching a little bit, but it's his company, so it's his prerogative. 

I believe strongly in respecting fellow human beings (except here, of course) and at least attempting to conform to their wishes about pronouns and such. So I've got zero problem with people that don't want to be addressed as 'cis', other than I think EVERYONE gets offended too easily these days.

Also no problem with how Rowling is handling herself.

In many ways the pendulum has swung too far to the opposite side, to the point where it's not okay to call out bigotry perpetrated against those that have historically BEEN the perpetrators.

I think people should be able to use language as they see fit. I understand he wants to introduce fairness into a system seeking to subjugate others but participating and reciprocating in kind back towards liberals is perhaps not the best way
