15 Reasons Why Dogs Are Better Than People

Dogs really are wonderful creatures. And the more you meet people, the more you come to love dogs. They say dogs are better than humans and we’re sure a lot of you agree. Humans may be considered to be the most intelligent species, but there’s no way we can ever become better creatures than dogs. Here are 15 reasons why.

1. If there is one emotion the human race needs to learn from a dog , it is loyalty. If a dog has ever loved you, he will always be there for you, come what may.

2. Your physical appearance, your pay scale, your bank balance – the dog judges you on none. You can make a fool out of yourself and be assured they will join you in all the madness.

3. There will never come a time when your dog wouldn’t want to see you. They always make you feel wanted.

4. It doesn’t take much to win a dog’s heart. A pat on the head, a two-minute belly rub or just an old shoe – they find joy in the smallest things in life.

5. They don’t think too much; they just do what they feel like. They curl up by your side when they want to be with you, they fetch a ball when they want you to play with them, they lick you if they like you – without wanting anybody’s approval. If you come to think of it, they are much freer than you and I.

6. They never whine or mull over what could be. Whatever comes their way, they find a way to enjoy it.

7. Theirs is the most unconditional love you will ever receive. People may change and friends may grow apart but a dog’s love only grows stronger.

8. They have a way with people. They know, when nothing else works, the puppy face always does. They really know how to make people do what they want and still be loved just as much!

9. People compete;  people compete all the time. But, dogs teach you to relax and just be. Lay down in the sun, roll over, play with your best friend all day, eat your favourite food, take a nap, wake up, repeat – a dog definitely knows how to live life king-size.

10. Admit it; they make much better wingmen than your friends.

11. They are always your partner in crime. Every time you spill food, they clean the mess up before your mom sees it.

12. They have the purest intentions ever. They will never be jealous of your happiness. They want the best in the world for you.

13. They are the happiest creatures ever. They’re excited about life. Everyday is a new adventure. And, trust us, their zeal for life is contagious. How often can you say the same about people?

14. You can play all sorts of pranks on them and they will never complain. They are the best of friends you could ever have.

15. They don’t ask you a thousand questions, and yet they know everything. You don’t need words to communicate with them. They know the way around your heart, much better than anyone else does.

Hero German shepherd saves 6-year-old boy from attack by neighbor’s dog

.....Dramatic footage has emerged of a modern-day Lassie saving its owners’ 6-year-old son from being attacked by a neighbor’s dog charging straight toward him....Videos viewed nearly 45 million times on TikTok show a German shepherd named Tank initially playing with his young pal in front of their Florida home. Suddenly, a dark dog races toward them from the top right of the screen — with Tank instantly snapping into defense mode. As the charging would-be attacker nears, Tank moves the boy out of the way and confronts the other dog. Tank snaps at the aggressive animal, and follows him until he is at a safe distance — even turning back to make sure the young boy he saved is out of harm’s way.....

....He was not the only hero, with the family’s other dog, a pit bull, also tearing out to help chase away the threat. The boy’s mom runs out and picks up her son, with Tank joining them for ongoing protection as the attacker is controlled by its owner. A video shared by the mom also racked up nearly 24 million views. “Our neighbor’s dog randomly charged at my son last night and my Tanky saved him from getting mauled or worst,” the mom wrote, with the video going further and saying Tank saved the boy’s life.....

I made a deal with @BunnysBastatrds to start a thread topic on "pets" ( i.e. something not political in nature)  This completes my pledge to start two thread topics on subjects that he picked.

"Pets? If so. Names and breed"

Bunnys asked people to talk about their own pets, name and breed. So here is an opportunity for people in this community to talk about their pets, current or tragically passed on.

I heard something the other day that rang true;

Your dog will be with you for part of your life.

Most likely? You will be with your dog for ALL  of its life. As such, you are the only one that determines that dogs day, that dogs week, that dogs month, that dogs year, that dogs life. You have a responsibility to make that life the very best life you can.

Agree wholeheartedly.

I have too many dogs, but I totally agree.  Dogs are the best.

The only movie to ever make me tear up was Marley and Me.  A dog's Purpose was close.

Probably want to skip Old yeller where the Red Fern grows and John wick.

“Pet Parent” may be more cringe than “rescue”.  I like to correct people IRL about rescue.  Will do the same if I hear this parent bullshit.

I have two rescue dogs...  One is 13.5 years old and still doing fine, for the most part...  Her back right leg doesn't work right at times, but she gets around okay...

The other will be three next month...

Man who spent $14K to transform himself into collie steps out for first-ever walk in public

....A Japanese native has transformed himself into a canine after forking out more than $14,000 for a custom-made collie costume.  The private citizen, who goes only by Toco online, says the unusual garment has helped actualize his dream of “becoming an animal.” Footage shared to Toco’s YouTube channel, where he boasts more than 32,000 subscribers, shows him clad in the costume as he frolics on a lawn, rolls on a floor, and plays fetch.  Toco has even uploaded a video of himself venturing out in public as a dog for the very first time.....Bystanders appeared to be in awe of the man’s doggy debut as he paraded down a busy street in the viral clip....

.....Japanese engineer Toru Ueda likes to wind down from a busy week with a drink just like anyone else. But rather than heading down to the local watering hole, he likes to entertain at home — dressed up in a giant wolf in a suit worth $23,500.....paid $23K for my wolf suit — now I’m free of human relationships.....“Do you remember your dreams from when you are little? You want to be a hero or a wizard,” he wrote in the clip, describing his life-dog dog dream as seemingly “unrealistic.”....“I remember writing in my grade school graduation book that I wanted to be a dog and walk outside......”

But it's confirmed you love urine. Obsessed by it even.

You need a dog cause your wife is disgusting to be around.

Me? I prefer my girlfriend over a dog. Sorry for your loss in life.

Was walking my dog recently and these two teenagers called him fat, I was ready to throw down but thought better of it.  He's a 100 chocolate lab, English so he's built.  Last time he was at the vet he was 105, vet wants him under 100.  We run 2 miles a day, but the dude is just a tank.

Anyway, don't insult my dog, lil fockers.

My dog is dumb as fock but I bet she has at least 30 IQ points on suckfoam.

She's a rescue, about 6 yrs old, named Dixie. She's a mutt but looks like a small black lab, only about 35 lbs. And she loves everyone.

I had a cat.  It was like a dog tho.  Loyal as hell.  Would guard me. Would fight dogs if viewed as a threat to me.  He have no shits.  Big cat too.  I always left food out so he grew into a lean, mean battle tank.

RESCUE animals are the best IMO. My Doberman Ms Lady was tied to a tree since birth. She had two litters and was not treated well. The owner tried to have her ears done and fawked them up so he just tied her up to a tree and left her alone with zero love. A neighbor saw what was going on and called animal control. He had over fifty dogs that were being abused

so he could breed them to make money. The majority were beagles. All were removed and went to no kill shelters. Because she was a fawn and her ears were not perfect she was passed on.She also was going through heart worm treatment.

Terry Valente who runs Gulf Coast Doberman Rescue found out about her and immediately went and got her. She took care of her and then called my wife and told her about her.In tears she said I’ll be back in a bit.

She came home with Ms Lady and I fell in love with her at first sight. She has been more loved than she ever knew could be. We spoil her so much and she loves the attention and love we have for her. I cannot imagine what life will be without her. She’s sound asl On the couch sound asleep dreaming and she’s going somewhere as she moves her legs. She’s a rescue and she has changed all of our lives more than hers.

I was thinking that she put peanut butter on her pudding so the dawgs in the vicinity made you look subpar and a cuckhold whilst they pleased her like crazy and then needed a treat. 🥕🐊🥕

Sweetest dog I've ever met was a rescue Doberman. When Dixie goes, I want my next dog to be a dobie.
