Toney Knee surgery

Recommended Posts

Arthroscopic surgery, a month and a half about?

That's doable if it's not too complex, but I'm still quite skeptical, I would knock him down a notch or two on draft day

Toney fell more than "a notch" in the 12 team mock this morning... taken round 11.  That's probably where he should be drafted, but ya know somebody will pull the trigger much earlier.

I have removed him from my list.  I’ll focus on S Moore.

to add to this, if he had shown to camp looking healthy I think he would have been drafted by now

Hard pass, I don’t think this guy is ever going to pan out.

But then who, out of KC, is the question.

Skyy Moore was awful last year but he was a rookie.

Valdes-Scantling is a jag and just a one note deep threat at that.

I guess you gotta go Moore and hope he takes a big step forward. Anybody have an informed belief on whether that will occur?

If I am able to draft Moore, it will be based on hope.  But darn he’s going to play with a good Qb.

Thats not true.   He did it yesterday.  but then got an infection by means of a papercut when he signed his contract.

really bad luck for this guy.....

Yup, Sky Moore is looking better and better. Maybe a WR1 before it's all done

Rashee Rice could be the WR to have if he can get up to speed early…big if.  He’ll also need to show consistent effort.  He tended not to show up at times in college, but impressed when he gave the effort.  Hopefully preseason will shed some light on the situation.

Read an article that said Rice was on the field with the first unit during workouts.

Yes, I think Rice is a guy tokeep.an eye on through camp and see where he slots in the pecking order come.week 1. Maybe a good late round bench stash if your drafts are.close to.the season opening.

If Travis Kelce pans out, he could be a decent pick up.

He’s going to need to show me something in the preseason before I’m buying in.

I don't know, seems like a bad teammate.

Kelce ADP is way to low.  I’ll pass, and two others owners in my two leagues deal with catching up at rb&wr.

I don’t really keep up with TEs, but this guy is never going to make it in the NFL acting like this.

With Pacheco on the PUP list etc. to start the season, CEH might have sneaky value. They might miss JSS and Hardman more than they know this year.

Agree about CEH.

CEH is definitely good value (though I’m sure he’ll climb up boards now), but let’s not forget he’s never amounted to much before. The only reason Pacheco (a 7th round pick) could even take the job was CEH wasn’t up to the task

A late round flier at best.

So do you think his current adp is due to judgement of his previous work?

I think it’s mostly due to the fact that he’s a backup

Due to his previous work, or is it because his coach simply doesn’t like him?

I feel like CEH & Pacheco are pretty much the same guy, especially in that offense. Both are replaceable JAGS in my opinion. Neither one does anything great but they're just good enough.

Probably right. But Pacheco will get an opportunity to prove he's more than a jag. Clyde already blew his chance.

well, this is the kind of offense where a JAG can put up decent numbers.

but they are not the same guy.  CEH is mostly a pass catcher.  Pacheco is more a runner.   and at 4.9 yards per carry hes not doing badly at that.   I think there is definitely some upside there.

830 yards rushing and he was barely used in the first half of the season.   I have to believe that with a little experience he should improve as time goes on.

To that end, I think there is something there.   if going zero RB in your draft, he is a nice candidate given where he is ranked in most publications (including fftoday)

sure the injury thing is concerning but you cant argue the price.

Sadly he is a must add if you go zero rb early, I would rather go after a rb , and a high profile wr, then rotate best available to avoid needing to draft Pacheco.  I could draft him as a rb3-4 and not a rb1-2.

Nobody's wants Pacheco as their rb 2. But everyone has to make sacrifice at some position. Ya can't have it all. The Rb 2 sacrifice results in Pacheco and his ilk.

They're good to go and they're taking it day by day are kind of conflicting statements.  Maybe they're good and Reid forgot he was supposed to lie for a second?

well, I got Toney for $2 in my auction league.

at that price I think hes well worth the risk for a potential WR1

Yeah why come out minutes later with somewhat conflicting info? If anything, doesn't sound like he'll miss much time at first, which is encouraging.
