Barbie being a hit is part of a worrying trend - BLM is mostly peaceful

Recommended Posts

you cant make this stuff up.

the MSM defended people looting, rioting, attacking others and creating CHAZ as "mostly peaceful".  But the Barbie movie being a hit is what concerns the MSM so they go out of their way to highlight one guy being unruly in a cinema.

Bad behavior at 'Barbenheimer' reflects a worrying trend

It was a 9:30 p.m. showing of "Barbie" at the Regal Cinema in downtown Denver, and the theater's manager had begun pleading with a man seated a few rows in front of Connolly and her younger brother. The man, the manager said, needed to leave. But the moviegoer wouldn't budge. That's when five security guards showed up and Connolly truly took in the spectacle in front of her

"One of the security guards was saying to the guy, 'Dude, you cannot be naked in here,'"

"Barbenheimer" - the twin release of blockbusters "Barbie" and "Oppenheimer" - may have broken box office records and brought people out to the theaters in droves, but it also highlighted a very real problem: Some people seem to have forgotten how to go to the movies, with widespread reports of drunken outbursts, rampant cellphone use and exhibitionism.

Good thing Putin didn't nuke us so that we can talk about the Barbie movie in 3 different threads

That is a distortion. The MSM did not defend people looting, rioting and attacking others as being "mostly peaceful" and there was almost unanimous condemnation of those acts, even among the most liberal stations and commentators.

Yes, there was one CNN reporter who referred to the protests and being "mostly peaceful" but he was talking about the protests themselves, not the rioting/looting and violence that came later in the after the protests had ended and the protestors had gone home.

So, you’re saying it was only one CNN reporter that referred to them as “mostly peaceful”? I have that right?

Yep. Nearly all of the looting and rioting was either from professional agitators like Antifa or more often opportunists who weren’t politically driven.

Leading Democrats, legislators and many other news sources have all said that the protests themselves were mostly peaceful, not referring to the unrelated rioting, looting, arson and violence that came later after the protestors had gone home for the day.

Very funny. I never saw that. Whatever happened to that dude?

I won't spoil the movie by telling you who wins the race.

As for Jon Lovitz, as far as I know he is still scrapping by on the fringes of Hollywood and doing standup routines.

That's the first time that I've heard a Liberal admit that Antifa is real.

You realize there's been more movies released than just this one, correct?

It's almost as if you Commie zealots don't know how box office, finance, math and logic work.  😂

Between you and Gutterboy, you're just pulling the first movie that enters your brain and calling it "woke" even though they aren't.  Almost as if you Commie zealots are being willfully obtuse about this whole thing.

You do your thing, Glory Hole Garret.  The rest of us will deal with REAL things in the REAL world.  Just stick to you glory hole at DNC HQ.

Go woke make a billion...unless of course you provide a chitty product that caters exclusively to the uneducated cultist.  Like Bud Light for example.

Imagine if Monster or Skoal went woke, they'd go bellow up if boycotted by the inbred, racist moron, cultist crowd.

Learn a bigly lesson from Bud Light you products that cater to the tasteless uneducated!

BAHAHAHAHAHA

The woman mentioned in the article wasn't worried about anything but missing part of the movie...so I am not sure she felt her life was in danger. "BUT I AM GOING TO MISS THE FUNNIEST PART because of this guy!!!!!"

If the security guard "ruined" the moment by trying to get the naked man to leave, then just leave the naked man alone FFS.

I honestly can't decide who is the bigger dumba$$ here; naked man, security guard, or this woman.

Quote

Though the man was eventually removed from the packed theater, Connolly worries she may have missed the funniest part of Greta Gerwig's long-anticipated film.

"It was the moment that we all were going to start dying laughing. And the security guard was totally ruining our moment, being like, 'Everybody start yelling.' And we were like, 'No, we're trying to watch the movie,'" Connolly said.

Unrelated?  Try that if you want to, but it won’t fly.  We all watched the news in 2020.  We saw what happened and we remember.

If you remember the protesting and rioting being by the same people then your memory is flawed.

Black Lives Matter organized peaceful protests during the day. My daughters took part in them. The protests were a good thing and I’m glad they happened and very proud of my kids.

Later on in the evening, long after the peaceful protestors went home, thugs came out and looted, vandalized and burned. Most of these were independent losers looking for an opportunity. In some cities a few members of Antifa may have been involved but I suspect their significance was greatly exaggerated in retrospect.

As far as the looting went, several properties I managed in Long Beach suffered some damage. But at least in my neck of the woods, the violence and property damage suffered back in 1992 (the Rodney King riots) were far worse. Of course that was mainly limited to Southern California.

There was a mob, how do you know that the protesters went home and the looters took over second shift?

Nobody could differentiate who was who.

Did some looters not protest?  yes, did some protesters loot?  yes

My opinion is the crossover was barely. Why do I think this? Because the protests typically started in midday and ended around 3 or 4, while the rioting almost always began long after dusk. Are you suggesting that many folks simply hung around waiting to riot? That seems very unlikely. Common sense suggests we’re talking about two different groups of people. But that doesn’t fit the conservative narrative, in which the two groups MUST be one and the same.

Anyone that marched with BLM and their anti law enforcement agenda deserves to be the victim of a crime.

What? That’s really ignorant. My daughters aren’t anti-law enforcement, they just don’t want to see black people choked to death.

Why emphasize "black people"?

How many black people were choked to death over the past 5 years by cops?

Past 10 years?

Sounds like you are the ignorant one.

I doubt you really want to have a discussion- you’ve never engaged in one in the months I’ve been here. But just in case, the reason I focus on black people is because I am convinced that there is still institutionalized racism in this country and that black people are mistreated by police, and there needs to be federal reform of police to deal with this issue. That was the purpose of the Black Lives Matter peaceful protests in 2020.

Now if you want to have a discussion about this I’m ready to do so. If not you can go back to posting “liberals are so stupid” or some other inane remark and I will go back to ignoring you.

So you are convinced about this racism with nothing to back it up. Good one. Another liberal blind follower.

And peaceful protests my ass. You forget about 2020? Riots everywhere. $2B in insurance claims alone.

That does not fit your narrative.  Surely protesters would not beak a window or loot.  No way!  They are peaceful.

Peaceful protests.   There are literally hundreds of these videos of midday, looting, burning and violence.   Long before as you say "the peaceful" people clock out at 3-4pm.
