AARON BUSHNELL, the active-duty U.S. Air Force airman who set himself on fire Sunday to protest Israel’s war on Gaza, appears to have grown disillusioned with the U.S. military and his own role as a service member, according to posts on the online forum Reddit under a handle matching one used by Bushnell.

Bushnell, 25, made international news when he professed that he would “no longer be complicit in genocide” and recorded himself shouting “Free Palestine!” as he burned to death in front of the Israeli Embassy in Washington on Sunday. “I am about to engage in an extreme act of protest,” Bushnell had announced on a livestream before his self-immolation, “but compared to what people have been experiencing in Palestine at the hands of their colonizers is not extreme at all.”

Also, dropping aid into Gaza isn't anti-semitic per say.  It's pretty stupid, since most likely Hamas will take it all and leave their women and children to starve.  But I understand the liberal need to feel like you are doing something nice.

It was a call for solidarity with Palestinians / Gaza. No one believes they were calling for the eradication of Jews, including you.

What is the Ministry of Health?  I heard recently that all of the death estimates come from, basically, Hamas.  Baghdad Bob.

Also, 16 year old young men fighting for Hamas count as children.

BTW, how is that hostage release coming?  The Left treats Hamas like they do any group they consider disenfranchised:  animals gonna animal.  For once I'd like to see a Leftie have the slightest expectation for Hamas' behavior in all of this.  But I don't have much hope for that.

The dead are reported by Hamas, they say whatever number they think they can reasonably say to maximize sympathy from the western Left.  Do you think they are inventorying all of the carcasses?

I doubt I can help you because I don’t seem to have whatever beliefs you’re trying to ascribe to me. I think Hamas is awful and have no sympathy for them whatsoever.

However, I also doubt all 2 million residents of Gaza are militant Hamas members and especially the women and children. So yeah, I don’t think it’s right to indiscriminately murder those people. Call me crazy.

I’ve seen pictures of entirely leveled city blocks in Gaza. Unless those pics are fake, tens of thousands of casualties doesn’t seem like a stretch.

Describe "indiscriminantly."  Is Israel just blowing up civilian areas? You know Hamas hides in tunnels under civilian buildings, particularly schools and hospitals, right?  They take all of the food and water for themselves and let the people go without, right?  They won't  They don't want a two-state solution, they want the destruction of Israel, right?  The people of Gaza elected Hamas and overwhelmingly support them (and with it, the destruction of Israel), right?
