Democrats winning elections

Recommended Posts

We get the same nonsense from Tim every election cycle.

A Democrat could win as local dog catcher and Tim will extrapolate that to the entire nation and proclaim that Democrats are not only doing well, but are going to overwhelmingly win everywhere. 😂

All he's really doing is trying to convince himself that what he's posting is actually true. I don't think he's quite there yet, but eventually he'll get there and he'll be convinced.  Just a few more posts ought to do it!

Tonight is a referendum on Youngkin. Youngkin got elected by campaigning on parental rights in schools. But conservatives misunderstood the results- it was all about Covid and a temporary concern. Conservatives thought it was about CRT and trannies.

Tim, your article has nothing to do with your claim. Zero.  I was hoping for some hard hitting data on the 2021 Virginia redistricting done by the Supreme Court or even some exit poll data. Now, if you want to discuss how R’s are fumbling the abortion issue, I’m all ears. Pretty disappointing from the political savant. You’re in love with wokeness.  We get it.

Why do you hate jews?  Is it because your party of choice now hates them?  I'm sorry if I'm confusing you with the other Tim.
It's past my bedtime.

Yesterday was a better day for Dems than Republicans for sure.

Abortion going to continue to be a very, very bad issue for team red tie.

Can someone point me to a ballot from last night with candidate “Trump” on the ballot.  You kooks can celebrate killing more dark skinned babies all you want but in less than 365 days, the name “Trump” will be on the ballot and there aren’t enough groomers,  trannies, and commies to save you.  MAGA will be the law of the land.

Christian Republicans will keep helping Democrats win. Between their abortion stance and soft hearts, they vote for liberal policies and believe what the 6 O'clock news tells them.

You going to keep going with this?  Didn't @Reality and @crackattack lay it out for you within the first couple of posts in this thread?

But here you are, claiming some kind of hollow made-up victory when the history of the State says they almost ALWAYS elect a Democrat governor and Republican everything else.

At least GutterPedo has an excuse - he didn't even bother reading the thread!  Just came in here posting what his masters told him to!

What's your excuse?

Abortion is going to be an issue for the R's.

Trump guys trying to spin the D winning in Kentucky is funny though.  If he lost, do you think there would be a victory lap from Trumpers?

What's your excuse for the Ohio abortion vote?  Or the VA legislature?

Virginia lost Republican seats. Abortion is a very, very bad issue for red tie team and they continue to see this in elections. Very red Ohio the vote there for this issue was like 65%.

Looking at KY a bit closer. Yes they have had Dem governors almost exclusively until turn of century. Since then it’s been 50/50. This guy won by a much bigger margin this election against a Trump, election denier guy. Lo and behold that’s who you all are rolling out for the big job next year.

This is just capturing a moment in time but I don’t see how you can deny yesterday wasn’t a bigger win for the Dems.

Yeah they laid it out all right. “Kentuckians always vote for Democrats for governor” struck me as a little lazy and unconvincing, but that’s just me. They kind of forgot to mention just how much money Republicans spent on this particular election- the most ever for the state.

Trump backed candidates are doomed to fail in all but the most MAGA of districts because, well, they aren't Trump himself.  Trump has a combination of charisma and teflon to be able to say crazy stuff, and his supporters just love him all the more.  But put that rhetoric in a non-Trump body and, well, it's just wackadoodle talk.  No reasonable populace is going to elect somebody to lead them on a platform of "the election iz rigged%$@!".  People want governance at the end of the day.

I watched it happen in AZ last election.  The magawhackier the candidate, the worse they lost.

It’s a bell weather state. How Virginia goes so goes the nation.

Youngkin’s shtick, running against CRT and trannies, had gotten old. DeSantis is discovering the same thing. Most of the public just isn’t as obsessed with woke issues as conservatives are.

In deep blue Loudoun Va, which was pretty much ground zero for school wokeness, sanity prevailed last night.  If anyone remembers, it’s where the tranny rape cover up took place.  A couple of the woke school board members were ousted and the Soros Commonwealths attorney, who wanted  jail time for the victims father, was ousted too.  Just more of an indictment on Youngkins shtick, huh Tim?

So Maga talk is crazy, unless you're Trump, then it's awesome.  And if you take a Maga person and have Trump say "Vote for this person", people still won't listen to Trump and vote for them, because Maga is crazy.  For real?

You're using a local school board election as evidence that the entire state didn't reject Youngkin?

Don is going to get tied in knots on the abortion issue.

Mix in he can’t stop with issue you mentioned - election denying - because of his mental disorder.

Biden is in a decent spot.

I can’t believe these will be our choices 😂

I’m sure there are exceptions like the ones you mentioned. But it’s pretty clear that overall Youngkin did not have a good night.

What’s funny about Trump and the abortion issue is he knows it. If you listen to Trump he is very aware of the public attitude towards abortion, and of course he’s always been pro-choice himself. He detests the Christian right and offers them lip service to get power. And they adore him.

This was my take all weekend as political talk surrounded our house, which is very rare, when the arguments were "You can't vote for Biden" countered with "You can't vote for Trump", and I simply agreed with both.

I didn't mention abortion; that's another issue where we Repubs, pardon the pun, step on our d1cks.  People here like to say it's about states' rights, that's fine.  But when said state then tries to ban abortions, well, that's basically saying that they want to lose the election.

If people really wanted to ban abortions, they would get elected on a more moderate stance, then "boil the frog" by slowly limiting the time/ability to have abortions.  But that doesn't rile the base I guess.

I generally oppose abortions as I've stated a gazillion times here, certainly elective ones, but I recognize there are extenuating circumstances where they are necessary.

Yep. He can lie about it or dodge it at the moment depending on who he is talking with. He isn’t debating. This will not be the case next year.

Nobody said Younkin didn’t flop.  Tim just wants to throw out nonsense that about wokeness.  You mentioned abortion, which is most likely correct.  The result in Ohio supports that abortion will be a loser for Rs.

I am not a fan of religious fervor.  It drives and informs the abortion issue.  It also drives and informs the Israeli/Palestinian issue and issues throughout the Muslim world.  I understand this will not change significantly during my lifetime which is not likely to be for long.

Oh boy are you wrong on the money issue. Beshear out spent Cameron by 18 million. Maybe most ever for a republican in Kentucky, but way behind the democrat.
