Question: I’m Now A Grandpa

Recommended Posts

Was on FaceTime with little bunny last night. I haven’t gotten to see him in person yet because of this new virus. Anywho, we got on the subject of what I should be named for him. I drew.a blank. That’s a life long tag and then some. Told her I’d think about it. I want something classic or original. Any suggestions?

Is this your first grandchild?  I would let the child call you what they want…  What if you want something like Grandpap, but they end up calling you something like Papi….  Would you complain and push for the choice or go with what they said…

I’m fine with anything he wants. Daughter sent me a video of him last night taking to him. She kept telling him hello. He tried a couple of times, and then he said, hel-ooo.  His name for me is Hello.

Congratulations, Bunny.

As for advice, I'd just have him call you whatever you called your grandfather.

I called him Grandfather, and he loved it. He would chuckle every time I called him it. I was the only one that did.

Have a friend that called his grandfather PooPoo. I asked him one why? “He’d watch me during the day while mom worked. He was potty training. me and would ask if it was poopoo time. When he finally did, he looked At grandfather and said “pooopoo” it stuck.
