1 pct of a budget that grows every year.  But it’s only 1 pct! Which ain’t true, when you don’t call all the other foreign spending aid,  but whatever.

I noticed you only used the Fed in your last post loser. Factor in what the states collected and you look like a bigger idiot.

Also, January 2021 Fed Debt was 27 trillion. Today 34 trillion. Biden is blowing Trump out of the water without Covid spending.

Actually I’m not blaming Trump for the deficit. He ignored it and increased it, but that’s no different from every other President in living memory. But I’m not giving him credit for trying to reduce it either, which some have done here. Thats laughable. And I’m certainly not going to entertain the argument that somehow Republicans are more responsible on this issue than Democrats because that’s absurd. Neither party has shown any fiscal responsibility whatsoever and that’s because they will lose elections if they do and they know it.

We’re going to have to live with this problem. It’s so large that at this point it’s basically unfixable because the American people will never accept the cost involved. So we had better hope our economy keeps growing because that’s all we have.

Where have I seen this before?  Oh, that's right, in your response to why we will never get illegals under control, the problem is just too big, we will never catch them all or even make a dent. Sad.  I wonder if you can put your finger on the date when Americans stopped tackling big challenges? WWI, the Panama Canal, WWII, the space race?  When was it we turned from a can do nation to a bunch of defeatists?  I suggest it was a process.  We became concerned with whether those who will never like us, liked us.  We stopped doing what was necessary and started acting to be viewed as moral in the eyes of the immmoral.  You like this because it is all about virtue signaling rather than getting things done.

Robert Borks book Slouching Towards Gommorah was a bit of a mess, but the basic premise summed up in the title sums you up nicely.

Uh boyo, every year there are record tax receipts, except when Trump destroyed the economy in 2020.

FISCAL YEAR REVENUE
FY 2021 $4.05 trillion
FY 2020 $3.42 trillion
FY 2019 $3.46 trillion
FY 2018 $3.33 trillion
FY 2017 $3.32 trillion
FY 2016 $3.27 trillion
FY 2015 $3.25 trillion
FY 2014 $3.02 trillion
FY 2013 $2.78 trillion
FY 2012 $2.45 trillion

And here's the debt by year.  Note that Trump was adding a ton to the debt even before covid.

2013 $16,738 Sequester; government shutdown
2014 $17,824 QE ended; debt ceiling crisis
2015 $18,151 Oil prices fell
2016 $19,573 Brexit
2017 $20,245 Congress raised the debt ceiling
2018 $21,516 Trump tax cuts
2019 $22,719 Trade wars
2020 $26,945 COVID-19 and recession

You forgot to include

2016 $19,573 105% Brexit
2017 $20,245 104% Congress raised the debt ceiling
2018 $21,516 105% Trump tax cuts
2019 $22,719 107% Trade wars
2020 $27,748 129% COVID-19 and 2020 recession
2021 $29,617 124% COVID-19 and American Rescue Plan Act
2022 $30,824 123% Inflation Reduction Act and student loan forgiveness

Why did you remove 2021 and 2022 and why didn’t you include the percent of GDP? That is a very critical number when you’re calculating debt.

Do the math boyo and tell me that 34 - 27 = 8.  Dope.  And Biden didn't have covid to deal with...LOLOLOLOL

Facts are that the the debt service cost (don't ask it's beyond your comprehension) are much higher now since the Fed had to jack up rates to fight Trumpflation.  If those rates were still at levels before Trump destroyed the economy Biden's addition to the debt would be much lower.

And why would I include state taxes when Trump's tax cuts for the rich only impact federal taxes.

Holy crap you cultist are so stupid.  Does someone tie your shoes for you boyo?

Because we're discussing Trump.  Oh, and you want to see debt as a % of GDP, ok boyo:
See the link.  Note how it skyrocketed when the orange moron destroyed our economy in 2020 and it's been trending down since.  Of course Biden is saddled with the $8T Trump added so he won't be able to get it back to pre-pandemic levels.

We are not a nation of defeatists. We are great at innovation: the Manhattan Project, the space program. But there are certain things we don’t do well: the war on poverty, the war on drugs. We’re not great at changing human behavior.

I remain very much a believer in American exceptionalism.

Not at all. I’m a realist. And I don’t overpay if I can help it. We could, theoretically, significantly reduce the deficit immediately. We could, theoretically, completely stop almost all illegal immigration pretty quickly and deport all of the illegals already here. We have the ability to do these things. But IMO in both instances the price is far too high, way exceeding the benefit, and so I don’t choose to pay it. That doesn’t make a defeatist.

The price of keeping the border open, and all the illegals in this country is going to be much higher.

I don’t know maybe because the individuals and corporation that benefited from the cuts drove record economic growth in their local communities which led to states collecting record tax revenues.

The treasury includes these numbers. Weird that in 2019 they have total collections at 4.14 trillion and your cherry picked numbers are only a trillion less. You also left off a couple years. Take a basic economics class loser.

Your link has state tax collections?  I ain't seeing it boyo.

And wouldn't this "record economic growth" have resulted in GDP higher than the anemic GDP Trump achieved?  Only president never to record 3% GDP for a year or 4% for a quarter.

"Record economy growth"

🤣🤣🤣

Roughly the number of sperm that peefoam has splooged into a sock while jerking off to National Geographic pygmy pics in his mom's basement between his posting of the same Biden videos and his tired "I know you are but what am I?" tired retorts and failure to recognize his status of this board's worst all-time poster.

What in the idiocracy happened to lead to a peefoam, an evolutionary setback of epic proportions? A grown-ass man flinging poo out his mom's basement window at the intellectually superior human passersby? I just hope he's some genetic anamoly that doesn't procreate. That would be a humanitarian failure.

Sad.

Show me a Presidential candidate that supports sound fiscal policy.   Cuts in spending, appropriate taxes (even a flat tax) with a plan to be fiscally responsible and has the ability to bridge both sides of the aisle to make it happen.  I will vote for that person.

Newsflash, it ain't Biden or Trump.

So this whole topic is pointless.

What’s pointless is we waste our time arguing about this and ignoring the fact that term limits are the first big step.
