It will be a 4 year long (at least) constitutional crisis. My hope now is that enough undecided voters will be rightfully terrified of electing a POTUS that will pardon himself from a multitude of crimes that they won't vote for him. The constant game of assigning the same thoughts, beliefs, and behavior exhibited by weirdos and wack jobs to EVERYONE that might happen to vote similarly is lazy and stupid. We see it here every day, and "both sides" are guilty. I've been complaining about it for years, and it just gets worse, since everyone is more concerned with winning an argument and scoring political points than they are in actual discussion and understanding. The message that a majority of Americans seem to agree with: 1. Joe Biden has been a disaster at the border. 2. We need to get tough, including a border wall and deportation. 3. Donald Trump is tough on this issue and knows what to do. No surprise: I don’t agree with any of this. But what I think doesn’t matter. The judge saw the tax assessment on Mar-a-lago was $18 million and immediately ruled that Trump's $450 million estimate value was clearly fraudulent. No one real estate expert was asked. The trial then immediately went to the award phase. The banks all said they were happy and would be happy to do business with Trump. Trump brought in experts who valued the property above Trumps estimate. The prosecution offered nothing more. The whole case rested upon the tax assessment. How they got to $454 million in damages is a mystery. It is based on nothing except what they think they can squeeze from Trump. This is clearly a violation of the 8th Amendment. This case will eventually get tossed or settle for far far far less, it just a question of how far Trump has to go to get an honest judge. Does any of that sound fair and just?
