Trump's NY Election Interference Trial - Trump is found guilty on all 34 counts

In the 1960's yours was a very minority opinion.  Now it is the dominant opinion and is gaining steam and any state laws holding otherwise are, in my opinion, likely to be found unconstitutional if challenged.

I've always felt that way. Otherwise you encourage recidivism. If a guy is never allowed to rejoin society, why should he try to live by society's rules?

Who do you feel the dems trot out that gives them the best chance of winning?

If they succeed in removing Trump from the equation, they can trot out anybody.

Unfortunately, my gut says Newsom.

Well, you don't really think this is the end of it do you?  I think that as soon as the right can, they are going to use the judicial process in a heavily red area to go after their political opponents.  It's not an if, only a when.  Statistics told me that from the jury pool they had what would happen.  And it's not a left only viewpoint.  As I stated, it can be duplicated in a hard right area.

No I disagree. I believe Trump was convicted because 12 honest people found him guilty.
If Biden is ever prosecuted, his verdict will be based on whether he is guilty of the crime charged. I truly believe that. I believe in our system.

So, you think replacing the jury of this current case with Alabamans would what… be unanimously for acquittal?

Same prosecutors, defense, evidence, with a different jury…

I don't want your TDS boner. Go find one of your ginger cats and take it out on him.

The greatest feat Trump ever pulled was convincing people that he could do nothing wrong, and if you are critical of him, it's because you're deranged.  Simply amazing.

One of several reversible errors in my opinion.  By the time that discussion is had with an appellate court the election is likely to be long over.

I don't think they did it in error.

This is what the third time he's been found guilty in the last year...not one of them seems to be wavering in their support.  It's all been a giant conspiracy to get him.

Nah. He did wrong things. Letting those people out of prison early was one of them. Not locking Hillary up was another. Didn’t care for funding the HBCU’s either. And doubling the child tax credit was BS too. Could have used at least a small war as well. Flex a little.

It wouldn't have taken 15 minutes in a rural Alabama courtroom.  Walker Co, Chilton Co, Coffee Co, I could go down the map.  Pick your southern state and I'll find you the county.  I grew up there, still do business there, it's reality.

I'm not arguing with you to try and insult or put you down, I do believe you believe in the best.  I wish you were right, I'd just bet my last breath you are wrong on this.  In fact, I know you are from my "side" as people perceive it, even though I'm more moderate where I live at least the way I'm seen.

There's enough partisan animus that one side would always assume the other side is doing a "show me the man and I'll show you the crime."

If we put aside the question of whether or not that happened here, the fact remains that it will always be the solid impression. And most people are too busy or just unmotivated to objectively parse through the details.

You recently denied that you were a MAGAturd and then go and use that tired old acronym TDS, which only MAGAturds lamely use as a way of explaining away why so many people in this country can't stand Clownzo.

Then they whine, cry and complain all day about Biden and deny they suffer from BDS

Thanks for proving me right!

🤣

Speaking of old and tired.

Yeah, my roots go to southern Arkansas, and have family all over Alabama. I get how you could have that reaction after this emotional verdict, but most people I know from Alabama are good, ethical people. I might give you a hung jury, but no way they’d just acquit based on the evidence.

But I do tend to be optimistic about our worst American tendencies.

I don’t believe this verdict will be thrown out. All appeals will fail, IMO.

You are such a clown when it comes to legal analysis.  Every one of the crimes the judge referenced is a federal crime.   The New York Code clearly defines crime as a violation of state and local laws.  None of the underlying crimes should have even been considered by New York Code.   That is one of a hundred gross violations of law this judge allowed.

Keep in mind you get so many strikes from the jury pool, it would be pretty easy in certain areas to strike any even moderate jurors.  I'll admit I never followed this case at all because I assumed guilty from the venue.

As did I.  We were correct.

He was never getting a fair trial in NY on cooked up charges.  Remember, the left has been promising to "Get Him" any way they can (legally or illegally) even before he was President.

Now if you want to be cynical consider this.  The feds are able to profile every person in this country through going through the personal emails, private messages, financial records, and of course social media.   It would be quite easy to characterize each potential juror and feed that information to the prosecution.   It would not shock me one bit of that was done in this case.   What stops the feds from stacking every jury in their favor?   Absolutely nothing.

Reversible error is a legal concept.  The jury, in my opinion, followed the law as instructed and evaluated the evidence as set before them.  The legal question is whether they were instructed properly and whether the evidence before them was as should have been admitted by the court.

Trump nor Biden has "convinced" me of anything other than they are both pieces of shiite. If that means I have TDS or BDS I really don't give a fock. Not sure how many times I have to tell you people that they are all a$$holes.

Trump "losing" or "winning" today however you choose to look at it really had no effect on my life. I have soooo many bigger things to worry about.
