Here's an interesting read. This is Charles Blow of the NYTimes making an actual cogent argument for Biden to stay in the race. I'd not realized this was a possible position. I thought only Biden crime family grifters and apparatchiks would want Joe to remain in the race, not well connected outside Democrats.

Well I hope this position carries the day. I'm shocked it exists. Blow honestly thinks Biden, despite the debate baggage, remains the Dems best hope for 2024. As you know, I also want Biden to remain in the race but that's because I think the guy is as impressive as a wet paper bag and offers zero chance of catching Trump.

It's ridiculous that prominent Democratic elected or former elected officials and/or the media can keep Biden in the race or force him out of the race. He won the primaries/caucuses and it's his choice alone, and then up to the voters in November, or the ballot harvesters and voting machine stuffing/rigging.

No one can force Biden out.  But if the donors stop donating money he has zero chance to win.   Then it comes down to how selfish he is or does he want to give his party a chance by putting up another candidate.  There are some legal hurdles to clear if he does choose to step aside though.  Should be interesting.

He's got a week to somewhat recover the ground he lost thanks to the debate performance. My biggest beef with the man was his ridiculous, exhausting schedule leading up to the debate. He should have realized that he needed to show up tan, rested and ready.

So I for one was fooled. But so was the MSM. And perhaps there was a deliberate attempt by Biden’s closest advisors to be dishonest but I doubt that too. I think they might have been lying to themselves as well. My reasoning is they never would have allowed that debate if they knew what would happen.

Yes, it does. You're right.

The problem was the matter was being artificially accelerated and should have never been decided in February but to wait until August. In February, it seemed like a technicality cop out after the SotU speech came in above expectations and Joe locking up all the delegates.

Now Joe is on the ropes. If some Dem bazillionaire offers Hunter $a few million$ for his summer school art and a lifetime supply of crack and hookers, Joe is out of there.
