I saw that too, and thought it was quite strange given that would've been a flat out maniacal investment for a firm that size, but when I looked into it more, the filing appeared to be in error.  They only bought 12 put contracts instead of 120,000.

If it was an error that amount is perfectly normal and IMO would fall under good or bad timing depending on how you want to look at it. Without the error it's very suspicious and it's weird to me people don't understand that.

I think you can perhaps come away with two specifics: they were either inept or they were part of the attempt

I think most of us do not want to consider they were part of the attempt.  On the pro side you have all these efforts on the DOJ to subvert Democracy with the lawfare, while actively allowing Democrats to be as criminal as they please. On the con you have to presume that almost all of them on site were in on it, and likely some of the local cops as well, which I find challenging to accept.....no way this is kept quiet.

From what I am watching, its ineptitude.  Right now across the government there is back hall efforts on the part of many to offset what they see as a deficiency in the capabilities of the SS in particular.  My company is getting some nice opportunities to provide additional security.
