I'm talking something huge, like O.J. Simpson carving up his ex and her boyfriend like a Thanksgiving turkey. 

As much as I enjoy it, I may even take a week off from the geek club. I'm contemplating this after reading an entire thread about Donald Trump's fist.

I wasn’t watching the game, but I was hoping that South Sudan would win as well…. I always want the men’s team to not win gold…. I know other countries send professionals but I still liked when the US sent their college kids…

I don't discuss or hear people discussing politics in day to day life and this is the last site I visit that really talks politics.

 

It is pretty easy to remove from your life. Why spend all that time and energy worrying and arguing about something we have no control over.

I’d love it if politics could be extricated from American culture.  But there’s one small problem - the Left in this country has a stanglehold on most of the culture.  They own all the networks except Fox.  They own Hollywood, Madison Avenue, and the music industry, save country music.  They even own Sports.  Fockers got a stranglehold on society’s bullhorns.  So good luck getting away from it.

That's the same thing one of my best friends told me way back in the 90s. Good advice. I haven't worried about it for 20+ years, at least not for myself. 

All I do now is try to make my nieces and nephews throughout the country aware of things like Congress focking over Social Security recipients back in 1983 and 1993.

Rumor has it that it's going to be addressed again.........and soon. All I suggest to them is to email their representatives and let them know you don't want to see that happen again.

Would that do any good even if millions did exactly that ? probably not, but it couldn't hurt.

FYI: I wasn't putting anyone down when I mentioned the recent thread regarding Donald's inability to make a proper fist. I actually found it hilarious.

We’ve become too jaded. It will be hard to shock us. The Trump assassination was one attempt.  Probably a natural disaster or major terrorist attack is incoming.  I wouldn’t rule out aliens.

Usually the only thing that really brings the entire country together is a national disaster.  Something that affects all the different races and cultures in our country.  That's when we put all that other crap to the side and help each other out.
