Raised a Catholic, I'm inclined to prefer a burial, since that was the Church's position when I was young.  Also, my mom and dad were both buried.  This past spring I went back to my hometown for the first time in at least a decade.  I visited my best friend from growing up, my remaining cousin family there, and... the cemetery where my parents and their parents are buried.  It was a remarkably cathartic experience to meditate at the gravesite.

But... the Church has since changed their position and no longer opposes cremation. And my wife's dad was cremated, and we've had some great family bonding spreading his ashes in various places.

Hell, I don't care, I'll be dead.  Whatever my wife and kids want is fine with me.

 It is. But you have a choice when they are finished with you. Creamation was mine. If I get eaten by a shark that eats me in half, no donation accepted by them. I’m reconsidering being eaten by a shark so I can lay on a table and have the students cut me to pieces and have to look at my wiener for a few months.
