I don't think anyone particularly cares if there is an "Indigenous Day".  But to put it on the same day as Columbus Day is DEFCON 1 level stupid.  To support these on the same day is to say that you wish our country was never founded.  If you fall into this camp, feel free to move to a reservation or, better yet, an indigenous tribe somewhere like the Khoe San in South Africa, and leave the rest of us to celebrate the beginning of the greatest country in the history of Earth.

Right.  The genetic make up of tribes that first arrived in America show they migrated from Siberia.  

Tribes and nations have been fighting wars and taking lands from other tribes and nations for hundreds of thousands of years.  Suddenly some soft bellies want to cry about the evolutionary and technology superior Europeans taking land from natives.  It was inevitable, that's what a species does.

People who migrated here are by definition, not native.

And, they were nomadic. And, they killed and tortured each other because of the hatred in their hearts for other tribes.

 In my younger days, I was able to go to Mexico City. My three favorite things were Graciela Gutierrez, the Sun pyramid, and at the time, the world’s largest Anthropological museum. It was mostly South American artifacts. They were amazing and taught me much about life. Amazing experience.

No, they didn't call themselves "Americans" probably since Amerigo Vespucci (for whom America was named) wasn't born until 1451. 

Unlike Europeans, who came here from another country they were legal citizens, they were the first humans to inhabit this continent, which would make them "native" to it.

I don't think so. Columbus called them "Indians" because he mistakenly thought Hispaniola was India.
