I know exactly what I want

single issue bills, open votes

public absolutely wants to cut spending, cut war machine, cut cut cut

If you're serious about cutting spending then you have to cut medicare, medicaid, SS and the military.  But you're not serious.  You'd rather cry about molasses.

Leave it to gutternuts to completely lose control of herself and keep trying to win with a losing viewpoint. 😆

Still arguing for principles that have nothing to with why this bill has been halted and nothing to do with how it’s going to be eventually resolved.

Another one of your "predictions" , like Fani Willis taking Trump to trial or Kamalatoe/Hitlery beating Trump in a presidential election?

"Elon musk shuts down govt"  I believe that he didn't shut anything down nor has the ability to do so.  He's not even a politician.

That's why it should be concerning the influence that he has.

Let me dumb it down for you.

1) Trump and Congress worked together on a spending bill to keep the Govt funded and running for a few months that needs to be passed tomorrow.

2) Bill was agreed upon by all, approved by Senate and on it's way to the house for approval.  Speaker had the votes.

3) President Musk starts x'ing about how the bill can't be passed, how it has to be killed.

4) Musk spends most of the day on the phone with Speaker Johnson telling him the bill can't be passed.

5) Musk then goes to Donald and convinces him the bill can't be passed.

6) Trump then tells Johnson to kill the bill.  Johnson kills the bill.

Get it?

If there is anything that should be absolutely clear as a bell,  Timmy doesn't understand anything about politics.  I mean nothing.

Did it win with Biden?  Sure didn't feel like winning.

Does the military get paid during a government shutdown?

Currently, if the government shuts down without a funding bill for the Department of Defense signed into law, those serving in our Armed Forces will not receive their paychecks. Only those deemed “essential” would receive back pay once a shutdown ends and new federal funding is approved.Sep 19, 2024

I did not know that. Apparently 1.3 million active duty service members will go without pay.

And...

Us border patrol affected by government shutdown?

Over 19,000 Unpaid U.S. Border Patrol Agents and 25,000 Unpaid Office of Field Operations Officers: CBP agents and officers working at over 300 ports of entry and protecting more than 6,000 miles of border under challenging circumstances would be required to continue performing their vital missions without pay.Sep 28, 2023

People who oppose this, what has the federal government ever done to help you personally?

Well personally, I like that they inspect and keep our food safe, personally, I'm pro-no e-coli in food.

Who do I call to have them come over and inspect my food?  I've not been availing myself of this wonderful benefit that my tax dollars support.

I think so. I think the history books will be very kind to Joe.

As Winston Churchill said about people like Tim, rarely right, but never in doubt.  Or something like that.

Roads are kinda cool, no? I like using them to get places, like work. Infrastructure is helpful, like sanitary sewers and electricity.

"just shlt in your garden and buy a generator!"

"don't need a fawkin road if ya got a lifted chivvy pickup!"

1)  No, TRUMP didn't work on this at all.  (misinformation)

2) Correct

3) Musk isn't the president. (misinformation)

4) You have proof of this? (show it, or misinformation)

5) You have proof of this, or is just a random tweet your proof? (show it, or misinformation)

6) Trump didn't do anything yet.

So, your heading of "Elon Musk shuts down govt" is misinformation.

Looks like you're no different than a typical talking head on MSDCN or FNN.

Looks neat, but it's $100,000 and only goes 20 miles per charge.

That's perfect, as the crow flies I'm 7.3 miles from work!
