I don't really remember.  I never had anything specifically against Vick, even in Atlanta.  But I remember him being the typical running QB who could throw some.  He was a somewhat better version of Kordell Stewart.   And my thing about ANY player is asking if they can consistently get you reasonably deep in to a playoff run so that your team has a chance to win a championship during their era.  And with both of those players the eye test says no.  At the end of the day a QB has to be able to accurately THROW the football and read defenses.  When you get a couple games in to the playoffs you're going to be playing teams that play real defense and if you can't do those two things you're toast.  And the worst thing EVER is having a fools gold player such that your team is OK but not great during their era.  And that's what you got with Vick.

The Wiz and West Side Story are great examples of good movies that changed the races of the main characters and modernized the storyline. Those films were almost as good as the original story, but different. 
The movie of The Wizard of Oz was just tantalizing to the eyes, all actors were filled to the brim with talent, everything about it was great. Hard to beat it, even after all of these years.

I never made it farther than maybe 5 minutes into the Wiz.  I have not seen any of the West Side Story remake though I have heard good things from folks whose opinions I respect.  Of course, I am not much of a musical guy, though I do believe if Randy Marsh ever successfully brings the Woman in White to the stage I would take my wife.

I didn't mean watching the West Side Story remake (Lin Manuel), no. I only like the original West Side Story. I meant, that West Side Story itself is a browner/different race version of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet.

You know..there is an element missing and I blame that on a cultural gap. Black people, who were born at the time, don't look at the Wiz as the Wiz in the movies. We knew of the Wiz before it hit the theaters. It was a Broadway play, and it starred the fabulous Stephanie Mills. In fact, people were terribly disappointed that the original cast wasn't in the movie. Diana Ross was miscast, imo. Michael Jackson was also a bit miscast in comparison to the play, but they wanted to capture a wider audience. The Lion was in the play and in the movie. The Wiz was a hit album. So, really, it didn't matter who was in the movie. But there were some iconic scenes and if you're black, and you're my age, you know them by heart. It's okay if you didn't like it. There are elements you probably didn't understand. The cool thing was that the backdrop was NYC, back when NY was really gritty.
