People in Vets for America bounced him, for likely mismgmt and drinking. They weren't the media or Dems. Well, I used the data provided by CBS to question them. Do you deny the data in the tax returns they provided, and I quoted? Do you deny the math that averages revenue under Hegseth out to $2.65M per year, 10X the anomalous value they used? Wait, here's another oddity. The parts I quoted said that the $265K was for 2010 (2011 tax filing), but then they say Hegseth led the org from 2011-2016. So he wasn't in charge in 2010, when they only got $265K in revenue? I get it, the MSDNC is singing your leftist tune like they always do, and they are the MSM after all, the epitome of excellence in journalism, so to question them is misdisinformation$#@!
thegeneral 3,141 Posted January 15 23 minutes ago, jerryskids said: Thanks again. The drinking and alleged womanizing are fodders for simps like @squistion and @thegeneral. The financial mismanagement is a bit of concern tho: I mean, $8.7M in revenue down to $265K, that's quite a drop! However, for grins, I clicked through the links to the actual tax returns. In 2008, where they got $8.7M in revenue, the prior year they got $1.3M. So I ask myself, self? Is the $8.7M an anomaly where they got one large, uncommon donation? Or is that the norm? It feels like CBS picked that year to make their biased point, but I don't know. Also, regarding the overspending: If you look at that same 2008 tax return where they got $8.7M in revenue, their expenses were $9M. Also, from the above, under Hegseth they brought in $15.9M in 6 years, which averages out to... $2.65M in revenue per year. So once again, I feel like CBS is cherry-picking years, one unusually high, and one unusually low, to make a biased point. I look forward to your response and/or those from our right-leaning centrists. I said the guy can have the gig. I’m poking fun that he likes to get hammered and get carried out of bars. Sorry you are so offended by this. I didn’t say shet about him being a scumbag who cheats on his wife. You think this guy is qualified for this job that’s fine. I don’t think he is but that doesn’t disqualify him either. I wish us luck and hope for the best with our new reality show Cabinet!

Since he wasn't a high-ranking officer, and hasn't run a large organization, I'm inclined to think there were more qualified candidates available. Then again, in the past few decades, we took a community organizer with one Senate term voting "present" and made him POTUS. Then we took a reality TV star, although at least he has run larger organizations, and made him POTUS. So it doesn't mean it can't work out. At these levels, people have teams of people who have teams of people to work out all of the details.

Yes, I deny the info you tried to state here. You need to re-look at your work. First thing to look at is Hegseth was with Vets for Freedom from 2006 to 2011 going from director to exec director, and then resigned as an officer. 2011 to 2016 he was with Concerned Vets for America. The bolded area highlights your confusion. The returns show revenue at Vets for Freedom as 2007-1.3m, 2008-8.7, 2009-265k, 2010-268k. 07 to 08 looks like particularly bad losses. The 2.65m per year average in revenue refers to 2011 to 2016. The $265k which I believe you are calling the anomalous value is I believe related to the actual 2009 revenue number.
