peenie 1,896 Posted February 4 Yes, Trump is making cuts to save money. However, if people are unemployed, can’t afford goods and services because prices are too high, what good is it that the government has saved money? If the money isn’t helping the people it’s just numbers on a piece of paper. I worry that some of these swift changes aren’t well thought out. Also, he seems to change his mind. To me, this means he’s following the lead of others. I didn’t vote for him and I am trying to be supportive and hopeful but sometimes I think he’s a ding dong. peenie 1,896 Posted February 4 Pretend your car is a government agency and Trump said, we’re cutting funding on this car. You depend on your car to drive you here and there. Sure, you can only drive to the most important places to conserve gas, you can drive extra safe so your insurance rate doesn’t go up, but eventually you’re going to need money to keep that car running properly. If that car dies and becomes useless, you can’t get to work or buy food or get to the hospital in an emergency unless you have other resources. The wealthy will do just fine but those that are dependent on things Trump is cutting or freezing…without planning and strategy, I fear for those without a safety net. 1

Pretend that Trump is kicking out the freeloaders who stole the car and drove it all over the place using your gas money. He's cleaning out the back seat where LGB's and DEI's have been buttfukking each other and leaving it in shambles.

That was funny but sad that you’ve been fooled to believe minorities and gay people are the thieves ripping this country off. You mean, you don’t know that the rich have been pitting you against people who have little to no control over this country or the economy?

You mean, you don’t know that the rich have been pitting you against people who have little to no control over this country or the economy? Politicians from both parties are to blame. They have been bought off by uber-wealthy globalists and businesses. In turn, they create schit policies that perpetuate problems with no intentions on fixing things. This keeps the money funneling into everyone's pockets except for the lower and middle classes. I know there's a lot of ribbing that goes in around here between all of us, but at the end of the day, we're all in this together.

Period. Reduce the use of tax revenue. Get the country in better fiscal shape for the next generation. Pain now, relief later. America pays the piper. Can’t keep saying “We’ll do it tomorrow.” To me, though, America is already over. It’s too late. We will never get a majority to agree to suck it up and suffer through the growing pains. Your analogy above kinda shows that.

I want to believe that is what is happening, finally, the budget is being carefully looked at and no more giving money to fraudsters, no more people getting paid to do nothing, no more money out the window to who knows where. I want that so bad! BUT, is that really happening or are these moves being made to disenfranchise some people for the benefit of others? Are we going to look up in a few years and we're in worse shape because our country cannot be run like a business. Furthermore, are businessmen just using the government for their own selfish purposes under the guise of making America great?

Furthermore, are businessmen just using the government for their own selfish purposes under the guise of making America great? It genuinely pleases me to be able to say for the first time that I feel ya. Anyone can criticize Trump for being an @ss and an oaf, but I would disagree that he wants to disenfranchise any group. I believe he genuinely wants any American to prosper. And what he’s attempting to do right now, to me, is to deliver what darn near every American wants— accountability for government spending. Let us both hope he can get the ball rolling in this term. One problem he faces is: will the media ever cover it from that perspective?

I rarely delve into the political discussion around here, but a small change to this statement describes how it has been for decades.
