NFL 2025 Offseason/ Draft

Recommended Posts

Gotta love how Gutterboy comes flying in AFTER the draft to run his mouth. Then again this is the guy that told us Darren Waller couldn’t be covered after 8 years in the league and gutter saw him practice in helmets and shoulder pads no contact.  lol.

Why don’t you guys like the Travis Hunter pick?  Arguably the best player in the draft and a generational talent. I think he plays both sides of the ball early in his career but eventually will just only play DB.

I think the jaguars keep him primarily at one position. The problem with playing two positions is that is now twice the opportunity to get injured. And if he gets injured now they have to replace two positions. Not one.

I think the dual role player is a gimmick simply to get more money.

Two way players in the NFL just isn’t viable after a point. So you have to view him as one or the other in my opinion. If he’s a shut down corner , who really don’t exist anymore, then yeah I can see him at two. If he’s a WR, Trading all that for a WR? Nah.

I think he will be very good.  So whatever I suppose.  To me its not sound to trade a 1st to move up a few spots to draft a non QB.

Travis hunter is a HOFer.  Top 5 CB, playmaker on offense.

Shough goes ahead of shadeur.

Good thing the Giants ran that smokescreen.

I think they’ll play him at WR and DB the first year or two just to make sure they have him in the right position before they moved him permanently to one position.

Wow all these teams don’t even see him as a developmental guy

Sea and Cle agree.  But, he's probably is a development guy without the sideshow circus.

I've still got 17 top 100 players on my board minus you know who.  There are some teams that should be moving up selling those 6 and 7ths to get these guys in 4 and 5.

Where is runMDC?  Biggest reach of the night was their 2nd pick taking a safety out of the top 100 with 3 better safeties ahead of him.

At around midnight on Friday when you posted this I was having a few beers and watching TV with my wife.

The Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles have earned a little trust. They’ve won three NFCCGs and two chips in the past eight years, something Dallas hasn’t done since the Clinton administration.

Horseman action figure:

I’m sorry man.  I mixed it up. I thought you said someone close to you was trans or something on the lgbtq spectrum? Congratulations on the girlfriend though. Don’t know why you thought you needed to point that out. Weird.

But when you have a player that’s an elite level at both positions, don’t you want to see how his game translates to pro before you lock him in at a position?

I really like what the Chiefs did.   If you keep drafting in the 30's (or even late 20's :8 ) you're never going to land a bookend LT.  There's risk seeing in how Simmons comes back from the injury but otherwise he's probably a top 15 pick.   Loaded up on line early and this receiving room looks much better than what we had last year:

- Rice
- Worthy
- Hollywood
- Royals
- JuJu
- Remigio

Yeah, Hollywood was amazing last year, especially in that Superbowl beatdown.

You know more than Howie Roseman now or are you reading people's opinions?

I don't think anyone can question Howie Roseman at this point.

Sure.  But trading a future 1st and picking a guy 2nd overall.....youd like to think they have a strong idea of where he will be played and where they like him best.

Its a unique situation so hard to compare.  But you dont draft a guy 2nd overall and have no idea what side of the ball he will mostly play.  On a smaller level it would be like taking a tackle at 2.  Then after saying well we need a tackle but he might play guard.  We dont know yet its all up in the air.

He's on a1 year deal, which makes the royals pick make that much more sense.  Rice will be coming up on the end of his rookie deal soon, too.

i don't think its up in the air. he is going to play both ways as much as he can to start. 90% on D. up to 50% on O. Jags can't make that trade otherwise.
