I don’t think racism isn’t around or not a problem, but I agree with some earlier posts that there was a time while I was growing up that it wasn’t nearly as bad or dividing as it is today.

For the record, teaching in Michigan at a charter school that was almost entirely black kids (with unconventional/unpronounceable first names) I heard the N-Bomb dropped exactly zero times. Coming to the Florida panhandle, the black kids use it on themselves and each other all the time.
