Iran had good sky trackers and other defensive equipment, and plenty of it, but it doesn’t compare to American made, conceived, and manufactured “stuff.”  Nobody does it better than the good ol’ USA.”

Again- not the crux of where this started with RLLD. I said Trump should say nothing. But the other day when he was on Truth Social saying "Israel will keep coming" and "Iran should've dealt" he was implicitly standing with Israel as opposed to staying out of it. RLLD said "(You) are putting your thoughts in Trump's mouth." Basically RLLD doesn't want to criticize Trump. At this point it is becoming clearer and clearer Trump is not staying out of it.

Standing with Israel?  We as in the USA wanted a nuclear agreement.   Its not some new idea.  So yes we have skin in the game.  What do you think all those nuclear talks with Iran were for?  To catch up?  Shoot the shlt?

We had a deal with Iran. Trump took it away because he "could do better." This is where we are.

Israel and Iran (and really the middle east as a whole) is a wasteland. The US should basically hand out popcorn and watch these people blow each other up. 

When Israel sent missiles in Trump said "Told ya Iran." Then when there was discussion of a thing asking Iran and Israel to de-escalate he said "No thank you." Then he said "A natural end is better than peace." Again- the US should stay the hell out of it.

He took it away and slapped sanctions.  Their economy crumbled and ability to support their proxy groups tightened.  

Im not going to pretend I know all the ins and outs of the old deal.  But apparently we lift sactions = Iran prospers while being snakes about their nuclear activity anyway.  Which is a lose lose.  He took on a different approach.  Was it the correct choice?  Not sure, as I wont pretend I know all the dynamics of these deals and what Iran was doing to slowly get around them.

What's happened since Trump pulled us out of the nuclear deal?  6 years later and they are on a brink of having nuclear weapons.*  They also managed to fund Hamas to pull off the Oct 7 attack.

I think it's pretty clear it didn't work.  Now he's back and we're head to full blown war.  He's telling Tehran to evacuate and we're gonna assassinate their leader.  It's not going well.

 

* Israel says weeks away.  Our own intelligence says years. Trump is listening to Israel.

I disagree with @RLLD almost all the time but I think you’re pushing it a little bit here. Despite Trump’s social media “we” the USA isn’t involved- at least not yet. There’s no US planes in the air, US pilots, drones etc. it’s all Israeli. And Rubio did make a pretty clear statement.

I’ve always believed in the last few years that Iran is a country that would eventually topple its current regime. The people of Iran don’t want these Ayatollahs controlling every aspect of their lives. There’s a lot of dissension there and eventually the regime would disintegrate. 
 

But my concern now is that we are unifying them. Nothing makes a government more popular than being attacked.
