The differences?  We took noriega on election day when the new elected leaders could take over.  The goal was to protect the lives of Americans living in panama, promote democracy and protect the canal.  There was no running panama.ormtakimg their resources.  The public approved of it, Congress approved of it.

Much different than the Venezuela situation now even though they were both illegal.

A major difference with Trump's team and this move vs Iraq or Afghanistan, what is happening in Venezuela is pretty transparent. Yeah there are a lot of reasons playing into what happened, but they are all fairly obvious.

Where in the past the American people would think it was because of one reason when in hindsight it wasn't. Much of the operations in the middle east, non Trump ops, was to move American tax money into the hands of other people through the war effort.
