1. Most transgender people are not violent; they are, rather, the victims of violence and persecution against them. 

2. Tramsgender people are not mentally ill.

No. 1 is something with which I will agree. However, you're No. 1 comment regarding them being victims of violence and persecution most certainly results in an above-normal percentage of transgenders experiencing mental illness.

When one with gender dysphoria hears nothing but hate growing up, it's not surprising that they as adults will experience mental illness.

Imagine growing up knowing who you are and hearing all the hate.

I chose to follow the light of mental health and make myself stronger.

I don't think Charlie said anything bad or wrong here. I do though find it hard to believe this person isn't a plant.
