Re Bad Bunny, I'm in the group of heard of him, I'm sure I'd recognize a song or two, but I couldn't name a song with a gun to my head.

I get why the NFL wants to attract younger and international viewers. I'd be surprised if they let him go all political, tho

I reviewed Kanye West first LP when OldMaid said he was legit. Not the kind of music I usually listen to, but I gave it an impartial listen. It was exactly the opposite of what all the troll conjured. He was very intricate and judicious of the use on instruments on the tracts. Instead of opening with an acoustic guitar and strumming for the intercity of the song like most everyone would do, he had short burst of acoustic that made the point and disappeared until it was needed again. Same with the other instruments. As I said, I don't delve into the genre and am just guessing he may no be so coherent now.

I heard one of his big songs, Titi Me Pregunto, on the radio yesterday.  Just listened to the beginning again.  Not impressed in the least musically.  I'm open to a lot of genres and can appreciate talent in most of them.  Didn't get it with this song.

That being said, I don't care who performs at the SB, other than whether or not the show is a "wanna see" vs. "I might leave it on in the background while I make another drink."  This show will be the latter for me.

I would say it's mainly political because of the fact that bad bunny stopped performing in the US (which I am sure is most lucrative for him) in order to protect his illegal fans from deportation. 

I really don't care one way or the other about BB doing the halftime show but this one issue, to me, is a problem. He has the right to perform wherever he wants but to specifically not perform in the US because you want to protect criminals is an issue.

A lot of people like his music, it's just not going to appeal to your generation or demographic. When is the last time a halftime show did?  It's not appealing to me either but you're living in a bubble if you think he's not wildly popular.
