Biggest Current Hollywood Star

Who is the biggest Hollywood star going today. Can be film or TV.  A few come to mind but I am going to say Timothy Chalamet.

He’s young but has been on an absolute tear of hit after hit across a broad range of movies.

Just watched Marty Supreme and it was another banger from the kid.

This guy was the main in the Dune franchise, amazing movies, nominated for Oscar in Bob Dylan movie last year, in the movie I mentioned above which was excellent. 

I’d put Matt Damon and Christian Bale in the running as well but this kid is just getting started so put him atop the list.

Chalamet is amazing. Haven't seen Mart Supreme yet, but general is spot on about the Dune and Dylan flicks.

Marty Supreme was done by the Uncut Gems guy so it’s got that same frantic style a bit if you saw that .

Was very good and this kid crushed it again. I also dominate at Ping Pong so enjoyed that aspect.

This was who popped in to my mind when I saw the thread title.  But Chalamat is definitely out there right now.  Waiting for Marty Supreme to hit video but have read good things about it so looking forward to seeing it.  Haven't really seen anything else he's in.

I really enjoyed it. Was not a traditional “must see in a theater” type movie like say Top Gun 2. But I would recommend in the theater to anyone. Go to one that lets you get the comfy seats, some booze. Unless you just hate the experience in the theater was very nice to see on the big screen.

I think Tim C wins the Oscar for this one.

He was in a movie that I thought was decent and worth a watch “The King of Staten Island”. Nice cast with him, Bill Burr, Marisa Tomei, Steve Buscemi.

This is probably over looking Christian Bale for the new up and comer.

Bale has done it all and crushed it in every movie. Blockbusters, artsy movies, interesting roles, super heroes. Guy is top of class for a decade now.

I kind of find WA annoying and too much.

But I do appreciate he has an aesthetic and what he does as an artist and love people in that world who do stuff like him. It’s been awhile since I have watched one his movies all the way through.

I always confuse him with PT Anderson as well
