He believes in peace through strength.  You call that TACO because you view everything he does through a lens of him being evil incarnate.  So I don't see much more to discuss.

I don't see a model where we invade, but sure, it's possible.  Enjoy your win.

Why do you keep falling for the same garbage over and over again? These dopes repeat themselves over and over and over saying the same TDS infused BS and you keep trying to actually argue with this cult of hardcore liberal useless pieces of root rot.

Give it up dude. You are giving them credibility. You are not doing anything other than allowing them to get into your head.

Well let's see.  Given what I said to Fnord above:

This act would be America First and preparing for isolationism.  Personally, I don't believe in isolationism as a proactive strategy, but in this case it is a contingency plan.  And I already said I don't think we will invade Greenland, and would oppose if we did.  Nation building?  Are you just shotgun blasting now?

And it's not about natural resources, but you share Gutter's TDS lens, so I'm not going to convince you otherwise.

So what do you call what Trump is trying to do in Venezuela?

He says he is in control of Venezuela.

Venezuela is not a security threat to this country. Venezuela does not send copious amounts of drugs into our country.

He's all about the natural resources.

It's in every country's best interests to put their country first, but imperialism isn't the way to go, because then other countries see us as a threat and do something about it.

You think Russia and China will just sit around and let us take over Greenland?

It's idiocy, but this is what your Daddy tells you to think.

Threatening NATO allies is not peace through strength. It shows insecurity and weakness.

Well Rusty, if Russia and China would not just sit around while we over Greenland, then a smart person might ask themselves why that is.

It's comical how these discussions go.  Whenever I provide an alternative hypothesis to whatever comes out of your Trump-sucks-omatic werd generator, and/or in this case show that your post is a shotgun blast of pablum (nation building, still waiting to hear on that one  ), you guys respond with some version of me listening to Daddy Trump, with zero self-awareness that you completely follow your TDS religious tenets.

I'm old enough to remember you telling me I had TDS because I thought Trump was going to levy tariffs and you told me it was just the art of the deal.  Who was right?

You're about a year old?  Apparently you aren't old enough to actually remember what I've repeatedly said:

There are more.  Presuming you are too lazy to read the ones above, I've been consistent in my hope, but not insistence, that the tariffs were some combination of punitive (China) and/or Art of the Deal, but that I disagreed with him if he unilaterally applied them.

Thanks for helping to show that I can objectively disagree with Trump.  In fact I'm about to start a thread where I'll disagree with Trump's plan to cap CC interest.

Meanwhile, you have never acknowledged a single good thing that Trump has done, but you think you are Mr. Objectivity like most pseud Lefties, and while telling me how I follow whatever Daddy says.

As I side, I was right, as I've been largely right about what Trump has done while you keep accusing me of having TDS.

In would suit you better to start listening to people like me and not newsmax and gateway pundit when it comes to trump.

The U.S. has five major inhabited territories—Puerto Rico, Guam, U.S. Virgin Islands, Northern Mariana Islands, and American Samoa—mostly acquired through cession (treaties after war) like Puerto Rico/Guam (Spain) and purchase/treaty (USVI from Denmark, American Samoa from Germany/UK/native chiefs). Other uninhabited islands in the Pacific and Caribbean are also U.S. territories, gained via treaties, discovery (Guano Act), or UN Trust status.

Oh look, we've done this several times before. No reason Greenland shouldn't be next.

Population of Greenland is only 55K, or about 10K less than go to average pro football game.

Get them on a welfare program with direct deposit, ship in some good food for them.  Build a couple of airstrips and bases, a golf course and some condos and their life will be better off.

Convince the population that Greenland is one giant, long term escape room game involving the entire population of the island.  Get them to solve the puzzle and they will all happily escape to Iceland or Denmark.  When it is unoccupied we move in.  The State flag should be Opus, from Bloom County.  They do have puffins there, don't they?

Man, a Greenland golf course would kick ass. Everyone would be launching 500-yard drives thanks to balls skittering along the glaciers, and water hazards would be aimed at due to being frozen.

FORE!

85% of Greenlanders don't want to be annexed or to be any part of the US.

Because NOTHING has changed in the world since imperialism and territory grabs ended more than a century ago.

Things now are excatly the way they were then!

An invasion of Greenland is stupid and will hurt the Republicans in future elections.

A purchasing of Greenland is not a bad idea at all.

Trump is at a 10 out of 10 in regards to this Greenland thing.  If he dialed it back to about a 4 out of 10....it would go better.
